Chris deburgh sang this song Lady in Red and iit is a real trigger for me. In 1987 I was in Seattle for an AT&T seminar. My bf came with me and we went out to dinner at 13 Coins, and then dancing. I was wearing a red sweater dress with a full circle skirt, it really emphasized my little waist about 24_inches. I'm a little bitty gal, 5'1", 105 pounds. It was as if we were alone dancing. He's gone now, and I am alone with my memories. I remember him every time I hear Chris Deburgh sing anything. Thanks for the reminder!

Ich finde das Chris es sich verdient hat Songs zu covern bzw. seinen eigenen Stil reinbringen zu dürfen, denn das tut er, den ganzen Liedern aus dem Footsteps Album hat er sein Gesicht gegeben und es gab einige Lieder die gar keiner mehr kannte, die nur durch seine Perfomance wieder zum Leben erweckt wurden. Chris ist ein ausnahme Songwriter der sein Publikum von der ersten Min, eines Konzertes einbezieht und auf eine Reise mit nimmt. Chris mach weiter so, denn deine Fans sind stolz auf dich.

Poprvé před čtyřiceti lety jsem poprvé slyšela tohoto týpka . To jsem si koupila desku tzv. singl kde byla od něho jedna písnička a to High On Emotion. Jednu jedinou písničku jsem tedy od něho jen znala. Tady v ČR se takové desky téměř neobjevovaly , takže jsem měla poklad. Africa , tu písničku mám taky v hlavě a ani jsem nevěděla že ji zpívá Chris de Burgh. Krásné připomenutí a díky za něj.

Saw him sing this song live in The Gaiety Theater in Dublin in 2011. His first concert in Dublin for a thousand concerts. Brilliant version... the crowd went crazy. Great night!!

Saw him on Friday night at the Retro Festival in Lucerne. As the band started the first beats of drums of Africa the people went literally beserk, inclusive me! What a great band and a great performer! I didn't expect such a high quality when I bought the tickets. Well... quality never goes out of style!

Absolutely loved Chris' performance of this song when I saw him live in St. John's Newfoundland recently. Did a pretty terrific job of ABBA's S.O.S. as well. Chris still has an amazing voice. Last saw him in the 80's Man on the Line Tour.

In high school I got the getaway and man on the line loved both those albums. But the later is almost impossible to find in music stores today. Use to have some of the songs from the getaway memorized back then. TY Chris de burgh for some great music. Love this remake of Africa too
