Honestly. It sucks when a band you've literally grow up on change in anyway. Like seeing your favorite actor as the person they played in your favorite movie then see them arrested on some weird charges, it changes your perspective of them and in some way, shape, or form you feel kinda robbed and disappointed. Which comes back to the case of slipknot, all we see as fans is the brotherhood and brutality they bring on stage and show in interviews while hiding the fact that they all almost died during the Iowa album both from either doing dumb shit or doing heavy drugs and they pretty much hated each other and almost broke up during that tour. But we would've never known that because, like the masks, they keep a great public facade and we may have never known about any of this if they settled things privately but it was leaked and then blasted to every corner of the internet and now we all see that the emerald city isnt as shiny as it was. But as a true fan, I think we should still appreciate what every member of the band has brought and made whether it be past or current members and love the product of when over 20 years of metal and fun as given the world

Still miss Chris man. One of the first few things as a kid when i discovered Slipknot, the wait and bleed video, Chris and his mask and drumming were one of the main things that stuck out to me alot. His energy on stage was crazy, and hearing his backing vocals down the line as i discovered more bout the band, were awesome as well. We'll all miss his energy, drumming and him jerking off his mask lol one of the funny highlights of the Slipknot live vids I've seen . I eventually need to get my hands on a Chris Fehn mask or 2 hopefully down the line . Might do some tribute percussion covers down the line too

In my opinion, their music has only gotten better with each album. The quality in their sound has improved so much. They've all matured and gotten a lot better at expressing whatever's on their mind through music. This band is incredible. I wouldn't be mad to see this band actually start passing the torch to new musicians the group approves of, and keep the movement alive long after they've passed away. I'll be honest, I was salty and didn't accept Jay or Alessandro at first. But after .5: The Gray Chapter came out I now completely trust this group to select the right people if it comes to that. Corey is the sound that will be the most difficult to replace. It would change everything. But if he decides to leave and pick someone to take his place, I'll trust his decision and give them a fair shot. How cool would it be if this band still played shows 200 years from now? People could gather in their city like they do during New Years and celebrate the Slipknot passing of the torch lol

Man I made a Chris mask from self titled back in the day with my grandma. She was a seamstress and we found something called "Mardi gras liar mask" on an obscure website. I also agree that s/t, iowa, and gray chapter were their best albums. Hopefully Chris manages well, but the band will be fine without him, even if they don't bother replacing him.

It was a very difficult thing to express for me when I was thinking about it but I'm not gonna say who is the fault on either Chris or the band from this situation. I still love Slipknot to this day for the music, but personally is very different and we have no idea why this has happened in the first place. I mean whatever happened happened. I wish Chris the best for the future and hope one day rejoin. What happened to Slipknot not once but twice happened to other bands. This happened between Slayer and Dave Lombardo and that is the reason why he is no longer with them. This also happened in the Megadeth camp as well back in the late 90s where Jr sued Sr and he was out of the band until Glen Drover talked to him and Sr wants you back basically. With Megadeth Jr was out of the band for almost 10 years. Hopefully the Knot will one day work out their differences with Joey and Chris and one day have them rejoin.

As much as I love Chris and Slipknot, I can't say I'm suprised by this outcome. You can't expect a band being sued by one of it's members to just solve the case and continue on like nothing happened. Even if Chris had stayed, there would have been incredible tension between him and the others. Sad to see him go, thanks to Chris for being an iconic part of Slipknot and a big part of my childhood.

That is not what happened or even insinuated in the least by Chris. This is all Chris asked. While going through the Contract for all hope is Gone, Chris saw that there was an LLC. He then asked Corey & Shawn to see the books, to see if he was owed any any compensation. Per Chris & lawyers, him & his legal team were denied access to said books. This looks Shady on Corey & Shawn. Now obviously, the courts did not rule in Chris’s favor, but lettuce not go out throwing out false information shall we? Asking to look at the books of something he was not aware of is not indicative of greed. You should be questioning why Corey & Shawn’s lawyers were using the verbiage of essentially a “ hired separate entity “ when Corey & Shawn talk about “ brotherhood”

He showed up he contributed at a high level and was a member of the hardest working band on the planet. You also have to remember that the entire rock industry are douche bags. Look at how many newer bands have disintegrated before they even had a chance to build a big fanbase. One Direction being one of them that have basically disintegrated within a couple of years. Cannot always blame the band you have to basically look inside the industry itself
