Awesome underrated drummer - awesome kit and that snare is a jewel. At the end it seems he does a left hand lead version of the hand foot single stroke roll lick. Killer.

Chris is a beast of a drummer, and a really nice guy. I got to meet him on the golf course when they swung through Connecticut last year, and his was very kind and spent a couple of minutes with us. I got a real kick out it- meeting a drummer I hold in high regard. You da man, Chris!

Holy Macaroni! What a great drummer, a great kit, a great sound, and a great gig! Those Foreigner hits are so good it doesn’t matter that no one from the original band is around anymore. They are just undeniably fantastic tunes. I’m gonna go learn more about Chris Frazier (I think I have a Whitesnake CD he played on) and I’m gonna look for Foreigner tickets! Hopefully they aren’t Taylor Swift prices. Thanks, Modern Drummer!

Chris F is a stellar drummer. For those that have never heard it, check out Steve Vai's "Passion & Warfare" record. Yes, lots of guitar, but the drumming is incredible. I almost think Val was just as interested in catching amazing drumming chops and grooves when Chris Frazier was on the drums.

Shure Beta 57s for snare drums, Audix D4 on all toms, and Shure Beta 52a for kick out. No clue what the ambient mic is and also no clue for hi hat and other mics are
@MiddleMalcolm7 ай бұрын
Agree on the D4s on toms and Beta52 on bass drum. 👍 Not Beta, but SM57s on snares, top and bottom. I also see a Beta91 in the kick. Likely Earthworks OH. Also looks like SM81s on cowbell and under the ride. No idea for hats, gong, or the "ambient" mic.
