Wires are a big problem for autonomous drones. Mostly because it is so hard for them to differentiate wires from static or electrical noise depending on the camera setup (taking an educated guess based on existing drone tech and my experience with AI). But MAN what a save by the drone!!! Narrowly missing that van when it recovered! You picked a perfect height too on your second run. Any lower and you'd risk a car strike or turbulence from their slipstream and any higher and you'd risk hitting the wire again. All in all great video Phill and great effort! I hope to move out there one day. That or upstate NY with some really nice climbs I have yet to tackle.

Pretty cool to get your drone camera to follow you at all - the sync up is pretty funny - especially as it wacked something.... Telemetry sync is also very cool... I am sure you wife will be thrilled if you get the drone all trained up so she can do her own thing versus being your AV Tech

Already bought the Jaybird Vista 2's, I already owned the first version but I wanted a second pair, the upgrades that helped me to decide to buy the 2's are the automatic pauze when removing them, the better battery life and the better weather resistance. I use them with 1 ear at a time and mostly listen podcasts, it really feels like time goes faster!

I think the key point on the increase in summer mass due to more hydration is to arrive at the finish line at around the same mass. There's more water loss in hot races, and it's harder to hydrate at replacement level.

I just read an article on Cyclingnews with Thomas De Gendt who said that his power numbers are at an all time high and yet he’s having a hard time hanging on at the current pace. I love Wendy's but don't roll up to the drive-thru on a bike. You'll get someone to come outside and tell you that you can't be there on your bike. That happened to me at the start of the pandemic and I absolutely could not believe it. The dining room was locked tight, so I figured, no problem, I got my bike and there's the drive-thru.
