Amazing car no doubt. I can’t remember the last time I came across a performance car being driven properly even on the deserted roads near me in Northumberland, let alone a supercar. With that kind of performance you could ever open it up for more than a few seconds realistically. Even on a track day you would end up stuck behind slower cars every few seconds and you’d need a new pair of rear boots at lunchtime..

I think eventually Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc will find themselves in a tricky spot. If the baby Ferrari now has over 800 horsepower where does that leave the rest of the range, 1000 or more? Where does it end? At some point they'll have to say right, this is the right amount of power now let's focus on driver enjoyment as much as possible.. kind of like say, the Porsche GT3, so I wonder who is really more in the future?

I couldn't believe it when they announced it would have 830hp. Totally blew my mind. I thought logically that a V6 with hybrid would be tops 750hp. I knew it would have more than the F8, because Ferrari always up the hp on a new model. But 830hp is just another level. Definitely blurs the line between supercar and hypercar. What a car...

Little late, but the 296 is ballistic, it's faster than the SF90 in the 1/4 mile and beyond, plus, it's hands down one of the most gorgeous vehicles ever to be made (not in this color way lol), definitely the prettiest car Ferrari has made in the last 20+ years.... and God, whatever you do, do not listen to this F6 with a custom exhaust, it just sounds absolutely incredible, even Ferrari's own V12 's and F12's don't sound as good as this thing once it has an exhaust on it 😬

Good old Harrismonkey‘s back! That puts a big smile on my face. Also, that with Ferrari, we‘re entering a new age of performance cars. They did it again. Now I‘m wishing for a contemporary OSCA: less than 190cm wide, 200-300hp hybrid, 2 seats, Italian styling and engine sound, a chassis that is comfortable enough and easy to use, no aggressive overdesigned body, just simple and fast. Not as tough as a Lotus, not as tight as a 4C. Just a down scaled 296.

I think the first car to bridge hyper car and super car was the 765LT and to do it with out any hybrid systems and rear wheel drive is extremely impressive The SF90 is the second imo. The SF90 has a slight edge against the 765LT because it has a hybrid system and all wheel drive in terms of acceleration from 0 This car is def a crazy weird but awesome car. Imo this car is doing what the original 720S did. It was so ahead of all the other competitors and it made everyone raise their level. McLaren has the Altura but everyone who has compared that to this will take this. Let’s see where the mid level cars and the hyper cars go next. Exciting

Real owners of sf90s buy this 296 for a change. Yet, in real conditions of city streets, the sf90 is much faster due to awd, and ordinary owners still won’t drift these 296s in the city, as in this video, primarily because they don’t know how to do it like Chris. So for posing and traffic light acceleration the sf90 is better and that is what 90% of real Ferrari owners are looking for.

This only proves the NSX was ahead of its time, but people were too caught up with nostalgia to see it. Acura is to be blamed as well, for not releasing a Spyder version, a rwd non hybrid version and for not updating the interior.
@JohnFromAccounting Жыл бұрын
The NSX was awful to drive because of the endless nannies that couldn't be turned off, and the lack of feedback for what the car was doing. That and the price to performance ratio compared to pure engine cars was terrible. It was overpriced and the technology was too new to be useful at that point in time. It flopped for a very good reason.

Chris Harris: "Mclaren where are you? because you dont' have a car like this." 2017 Mclaren 720s: 0-200kph in 7.1s 2021 Ferrari GTB 296: 0-200kph in 7.2s. The Mclaren is MUCH less expensive, has a V8, carbon tub, MUCH lighter. Maybe ask, where is Ferrari, because other than million+ dollar special edition cars, none of them have carbon tubs, and Ferrari cars have been getting heavier and heavier, then relying on fatter stickier tires to bridge the performance gap. They then lie about their weight and hope people don't actually weigh their cars.
@Ale55andr0822 жыл бұрын
the actual 0-200 of 296 is below 7s (it was tested at 6.8)...apart from that he's not talking about acceleration, you genius. Mclaren lie about HP to appear better with "lower" hp while a 765 on dyno reach almost 900hp. Apart from that, mclaren reliability is CRAP

It’s really weird seeing him brown nose ferrari in this video in the manner at which he did. Senna is how old now? And he says senna is WAAAY behind this car? Then he says this is just as fast as an AMG one…… like what’s going on

About the weight issue, I would like someone to weigh an EU spec Ferrari. I know the difference won't be much from the official figures. Also, about the McLaren, he's probably talking about the Artura.
@alistairwillock72662 жыл бұрын
I'd be willing to bet that a 720s wouldn't see which way the 296 went around just about any racetrack. A 765LT would stay closer, but still wouldn't keep up with it. A Senna is in an entirely different price category, and would be _far_ less livable on the street. So, I think Harris's question is quite fair.
