Chris Hemsworth Is Replacing Peter Cullen As Optimus?

Reports are starting to circulate that Chris Hemsworth is replacing veteran voice actor, Peter Cullen, as the voice of Optimus Prime. Are the rumors true?

This better not be true. I know he's probably no longer involved, but Steven Caple Jr. said that Peter Cullen will be playing Optimus in the live-action movies as long as he wants.

As I stated, all I know is what the Facebook post said, and when I went delving into this, all that was popping up was for TF: One. Peter Cullen is 83, and of what I understand is correct, he may be having issues with his voice, that very well could be a contributing factor.

If its just for the one movie it might be ok, because isnt chris voicing orion pax which would definitely be a different voice than optimus.

He’s voicing Orion Pax, but if what Legacy of Nerd said is true, then he’s already signed on for the Transformers/GI Joe crossover movie as Optimus Prime. If it is true, I at least want to give him a honest chance. I gave Chris Pratt a chance last year when he voiced Mario, and I was pleasantly surprised.
