I been doing calisthenics for 3 years, I don't have a gym membership or a pull bar. But I use your heria app and your KZbin videos of home workout to hit a good workout. This is the simplest and most comprehensive flexibility routine I have ever seen. My back is super flexible, being able to do the stand to stand bridge, but my legs are so inflexible it hurts to just get in these positions. I was sweating more than I have in a long time just holding the elevated front split and straddle split. As a martial arts enthusiast myself, i am taking the plunge to master these simple techniques.

I've begin my Calisthenicss Journey roughly 1 and half year ago. It is kinda on and off thing by I do make sure it to be consistent. At least 1 hour per day. It is a very slow progress but I can see bit by bit of the result. Now I am focusing on flexibility because I noticed that, if your body is flexible, you will be able to get more benefit when practicing for handstand as you somehow knew how to control the muscle. Still a long journey ahead for me but I am enjoying every single bit of it. This video is an eye opener on the limit of human body while I think it is going to be hard to reach that level of flexibility, I'll be sure to add it in my daily routine. Thanks Chris! Hey Chris amazing seeing this! You did great man. I am a contortionist teacher myself, and I was impressed how well you did, a big tip I can give to anyone trying to become more flexible, treat flexibility like your gym split, intense stretching sessions are also tiring, draining, and generate tons of fatigue for your muscles, so its not something you should do daily as many say. Divide it by muscle groups, or specific skills, a good example would be. Monday: Splits. Tuesday: Back, Wenesday: Compression, Thuersday: Rest, Friday: Hips, and splits. Saturday: Back and specific skills like handstands, chestands, or other tricks, Sunday: Rest again. That would be a great way to start with the right foot. Also focusing a lot on proper techinque, biomecanics, theory, and alligment. Avoid compensations, know how to position your body properly, and lastly work on various elements, and aspects of flexibility, like compression, strenght(Control), dynamic, and static stretching. That would be like the major tips I can give Lastly the most important thing I learned when trying as a contortionist was that being always super intense will help, but just like any other training, proper diet and rest allow results to show much faster, and involving flexibility in your daily life, examples of this is instead of sitting normally when you read or eat. Try to do it in pancake (sitting straddle), or a butterfly stretch, also stretch when waking up, not hard, or much, but just to get your body going, and before sleeping. This minor changes allow your body to get familiar with stretching much faster. Really hope to see Chris follow up with this journey!
