It is true that TJ gets too agressive while sparring. Look at the video where the current K-1 Champion Takeru from Japan came to The Bang Gym to train with Ludwig. Takeru had a chance to spar with TJ and Ludwig specifically said its a mass sparring. Takeru was taking it easy on TJ, however TJ went over-aggressive towards Takeru because Takeru was better at kickboxing. So he cheapshotted Takeru at the end. TJ requested K-1 and Takeru never put the sparring video up because he knows the world is going to know how cheap TJ can be while sparring if the full sparr video is published

if dillashaw was so horrible in the gym, as team alpha male is saying AFTER he got kicked out (he didn't want to leave completely, but faber didn't allow him to be back), why did they keep him around? or atleast, why did the fighters keep sparring with dillashaw? sounds like a guy to avoid! also, if chris holdsworth said something along more concussion since that one incident with tj, who was responsible for the others? everytime someone from alpha male talks, i get more questions than answers.

@brandonwillis8430
@brandonwillis8430 5 жыл бұрын
It's SO obvious it's a lie. So originally tbe story was that TJ kneed this guy in the back of the head after the guy submitted him but now the story is different. Best way to tell if someone's lying is if the details change because when you're telling the truth it will be the same everytime you tell it but when you're retelling a lie you gave to remember every detail you said before and it often exposes the lier. Also, if TJ was so bad for the team and gym that he was literally ending promising UFC careers by training too aggressively then why didn't they kick him out and why were they so butthurt that he left? You'd think if what they're saying is true then when he went to train elsewhere or start his own gym they'd gave been happy to see him go but instead there's literally videos of Uriah using the analogy of him and TAM being TJ's ex girl and when TJ trains elsewhere it's like throwing his new girl in his ex girl's face. I mean that's seriously pathetic how butthurt they got when he left. Almost every single fighter in the UFC has trained at other gyms or changed gyms and none of them were having to deal with their old gym acting like an obsessed ex who's heartbroken. Also TAM also claimed that they have video of Cody knocking out TJ and avoided releasing it forever and then all they ever ended up releasing is a video of TJ getting dropped and popping right back up. These are pro fighters and they understand very well the nuance and difference between getting knocked out, a tko or technical knock out, and getting dropped and springing up immediately. The fact that they claimed it was a KO when it wasn't even a TKO is very dishonest and I'm not stupid enough to believe pro fighters didn't mean to mislead when they claimed a knock down was a KO. That's why it took so damn long fir them to even release it cuz they knew they were lying and it would be obvious but the fans forced their hand cuz they claimed to have video so if it was up to them they'd gave never released it and everyone would've just taken their word for it but the fans and media kept calling them out on it so they had to expose themselves. Lastly, that video actually proves that what TJ said is true. Faber, and therefore all of TAM, sparred way too hard and that's been the rumor about TAM long before TJ arrived. You should never hit your opponent hard enough to drop them or worse during sparring. If you're going to hit each other that hard then you should just call it a competitive fight with full protective gear which can sometimes be more beneficial to training than sparring. If you're trying to drop your opponent during sparring then you're pulling a Charlie Zelenoff where you're communicating it's safe to practice and then trying to take the person's head off which is horrible. TJ was a HS wrestler and it's said Faber recruited him.out of HS or community college to MMA so Faber was his teacher so if he was sparring too aggressively it might have to do with the fact that TAM has been known for that and unintentionally confirms it themselves. No wonder TJ left.

How can Cody say that TJ retired Chris, but then Chris kept going after his concussion and got more concussions. It’s like me saying that my friend broke my leg, and then I fought 4 more years, and then blame him for retiring me. Come on now, TJ for life!

If anyone watched TJ Dillashaw when he was on TUF, they would find a lot of the rumours of his bad treatment of sparring partners and gym mates quite easy to believe. From episode 1, all the way to the final TJ was a snake. From trying to initiate a fist bump at the beginning of the fight to going for a hayemaker, to progressing to the final by avoiding certain fights something which isn't technically wrong but isn't something people do in TUF. When all the stuff came out about TJ I was not surprised. I won't agree with the steroid accusations but I wouldn't put it past him to use PEDs as the guy is clearly incredibly competitive and would do what he needs to get an edge on his opponents.

I think the biggest hole in the Team Alpha Male narrative is they say TJ was a shitty teammate all the while crying because he supposedly "quit" the team and how devastating that was.

I don’t like the way mma schools spar. They don’t wear any protective gear, the room is jam packed with tired sweaty dudes, and the coach is kind of watching everyone. That’s not safe. In Boxing the coach is right there watching his TWO fighters spar and can step in or coach one guy. You can’t keep track of a room full of fighters who are sparring at the same time. No good. No good.

If you're a winner, then you're a T.J. fan. I love T.J's mentality as a fighter, he hates to feel defeated and will do what it takes to let you know it. If more fighters were like T.J the UFC would be as good as it once was. Only a few people on the roster has that mentality, Conor, T.J. Johanna, Max, Tony Ferguson, Nate, Nick. Love em or hate em, they are all warriors.

ok i was kinda ready to believe up until the "he was on some special supplements" part, plus Cody's comments that "oh yeah he's on everything" and the claims that he introduced TAM to all the drugs, and hes never been usada flagged or looked any different since usada, in fact hes making steady improvements in performance... dono, just seems a little too unbelieveable

The only reason TJ acts over aggressive in training is because he was trained to act like that by Faber and everyone else in team alpha male. So while TJ may act like that there’s no doubt that the rest of team alpha male including the coaches act like that too(although TJ is still friends with some of them like Chad Mendes, the rest just act like children)

I can imagine TJ had a bit of a competitive ego and went too hard in training, but these TMA guys trying to pin everything on TJ doesn't sound credible. Seems to me like Faber forced TJ to choose between TAM and Ludwig (after kicking Ludwig out) and Chris is using the TJ incident as an excuse for his lack of will to continue fighting professionally.

Not saying TJ is innocent but parts of this just don't add up. At one point he said something along the lines of 'maybe it happened because he was jealous I won the UF and he didn't', then later in the story he says it happened just 1 month before UF. How could he be jealous of something that hadn't happened yet? It wouldn't all be so suspect if TAM hadn't been stirring blatant lies and drama for about a year now, and then the 'truth' comes out on fight week. If they really have the KO vid they will drop it this week for maximum mental warfare; if not you know it was all a lie.

You can just see that Ariel doesn't really believe it, especially the stuff about "special supplements". I wasn't there so I wouldn't know the truth, but Holdworths doesn't sound like somebody telling that truth. Odd holes in his story, questions he can't answer. Seems to me this was Faber and Garbrandt story as told by Chris Holdworth.

Well I don't have a dog in this race, but TJ should be way to slick for Cody. Cody has one shot and one shot only, and that is if he lands that one shot knock out. But if he don't get it, TJ will make him look like a rookie. If it goes the distance Cody will be embarrassed. I think most people make their predictions based on the fighter they like instead of actually watching footage of as many fights as they can of both fighters, and from what I've seen, TJ will hit Cody 3 times for every shot Cody lands. We'll see, but I think Cody loses and GSP loses as well.
