I'm 46 too buddy and love this music to death as well. Commodore 64 was a BIG part of my childhood in the '80s and the Commodore Amiga kicks butt as well in the sound department. These remixes are also superbly and professionally made!

Folge dir schon seit Jahren und bin immer wieder beeindruckt von deiner originalgetreuen Soundauswahl und dem Klang des Endproduktes. Gerade Chris Hülsbeck covert man nicht mal eben so, da gehört schon einiges an Können dazu. Ist dir absolut gelungen und muss ein unfassbarer Aufwand gewesen sein alles rauszuhören. Another conversation which works well. This time only beaten by its original but to be honest. Turrican 2 Theme is / might be the best Game Tune on Amiga till today. The Version from Daxx would be the way how it sounds if Turrican would have been released today !

There comes a time where musicians will be rated against whether D4xx made a cover or remix of their work, or not. And that might be sooner rather than later. This cover here is an excellent example, true to the original and then some! Thanks for sharing this with us =)

The difference between a Remix and a Cover is just the arrangement. Since I stuck to the original arrangement (almost) 1:1 I thought it was more like a cover version. :)

Some players can mute the left or right channels. I think it was deliplayer. This helped me identify notes in those exotic music types. But for the time being I'm sticking to remixing regular mods. Easier that way. I do think it is getting easier to identify the type of instrument(In any song btw) and the melody after doing 80 remixes or so :)

Better arranged than Huelsbeck Anthology version, which was a huge letdown for me, quality was all over the place in those Turrican albums And the most important tune hasn't got the attention it deserved. Faithful to original but also fresh in sounds, powerful synths and you managed to also rework some original instruments. You lost a little in the second part but first minutes are phenomenal. Props!

What are you talking about ?Sure, this version of d4xx is fantastic, no doubt. But the Anthology version is as close as possible to the Amiga original. And that was the goal and, in my opinion, it was a great success.
