I never understood why people act like Baker didn't live up to #1 draft pick... he literally set the NFL Touchdown record his rookie year on the Browns, emphasis on the Browns. The top picks always go to the worst teams and deal with that dysfunction. Hell, Mahomes sat a year on a team that was already winning, same with Brady and Patriots and Brock and the 49ers. It's a team sport for a reason.

Darnold will be successful with the stable of receivers on the Vikings squad. The defense has improved as has the offense. I don’t see him as a one year replacement.

Another person who doesn’t understand QB contracts. 30 million 1st and 2nd year with 5 million in incentives each of the 3 years and 40 million in year 3 which will either get restructured with an extension of another 2 to 4 years based on his play or he’ll get cut.
