This is so beautiful. My mom’s favorite band is Coldplay. Coldplay got her through some of the hardest times in her life. The album A Rush Of Blood To The Head specifically, got her through the first time she had cancer. My mom is a cancer survivor of having cancer 3 separate times. And to see Chris Martin do this, for a cancer research charity, warms my heart more than anyone could ever know. Thank you Chris, for your kindness, and for getting my mom through some of the most difficult times in her life.

To be fair tempo change in music is what makes it exciting, and the album version speeds up too. Life doesn’t exist on a click track, arguably click tracks killed rock music.

@@chickenmuffin I disagree. You can very easily automate a clicktrack to change a tempo, and even time signatures. (I did that a few times when I use to gig on weekends) Labels and advertising are what killed rock music. Everything has to fit within a predetermined mould now.

Just when you're about to throw in the towel on this crazy, nasty world...you see something like this! A noble cause that turned into a lifetime of memories for all involved. Love how the solo guitar dude just went double time because of the nerves I presume and the whole band and Chris just went with it. Chris would have flipped and stopped the song if it was his own band but he rolled with it and let the kids do their thing. Absolutely class act.

I saw Coldplay perform this past Friday at the Rosebowl in Los Angeles. I can unequivocally say that your 8th grade band is on par wiith Coldplay. WHAT Christ God given gifts. I am over the moon about the maturity and execution of songs from our young people.

I would have paid top dollar/pounds (I'm a Brit) to have seen a full concert of this. Bloody fantastic as everyone involved was so good and full of confidence. To have cracked how to play that second song was impressive beyond words.
