@blitzandgoo3 жыл бұрын
A lot of those freak accidents you can say happened because of a super condensed season too. When u got some teams playing 10 times in 15 days the chances of something like that happening skyrockets. Murrays was one of the more just straight up unfortunate ones, but who’s to say with the way the body works his knee didnt give out right there due to fatigue on his body. Having the shortest turn around ever and then condensing the season, even more condensed for teams that had to miss games due to COVID, resulting in more injuries isn’t a coincidence.

i understand the freak accident argument but yall keep missing the point... the lack of rest, familiarity with the team and heightened schedule CAUSES more freak accidents. Stuff that would maybe have been a sprain, a pull, etc. now resulted in immediate tear, that happens when the body is tired and at its limit. The players are gassed and not every team has great medical staff (Victor Oladipo got to Miami and found out his quad was still torn even tho he was looked at by both Indiana AND Houston medical staffs) therefore, the schedule being the way it was is most likely the culprit for these "freak accidents'

Freak accident injuries would theoretically happen less if the season were shorter. If lets say Booker ends his career with 7 rings or something he'll be in the GOAT debate easily. Which means people are going to nitpick his titles and will look at this one. Which is how injuries will be brought up and people will discredit it. there's a lot of similarities between this year's suns and the 2011 mavs. deep ass bench, great shooting, athletic defensive wings, aging star known for underperforming in the postseason having their best playoffs. no one player who needs to drop 30-40 every game, bunch of castaway NBA players revitalizing their career. they got a balanced attack.

still a lot different though. dirk was way more important and dominant in 2011 than cp3 this year. and he had noone like booker. you could argue kidd was the cp3 of the mavs but then still dirk >> booker. books been great this postseason but 2011 dirk was just something special. he rly willed that team to the title, was basically unguardable and put away the repeat champion kobe gasol lakers, the thunder with durant westbrook and harden and bron wade bosh in the finals. all healthy btw. there maybe are some similarities but if u look at it in depth there is a lot of difference still.

@@peterpan3022 I'm not saying it's an exact copy of those two teams but just in terms of the run they're going on and where CP3 and Dirk were in their careers. This feels like his Dirk run and the surrounding cast I think of the Suns are much better, but the elite shooting and defense echoes similarities

if patrick beverley is your second option, your team is not getting far...

kinda want cp3 to retire if the suns win it all, wanna see him go out on top book been playing really well for his first playoff run, hopefully we see more to come in the future
