false. just cos the rockets didn't win the chip (should've in 2018) doesn't mean it "didn't work" or it wasn't a good fit. they just ran into GSW; no one ever came close to beating that team with KD
@TheIcemanthomas4 жыл бұрын
Paeng Camacho u weren’t paying attention then. It was clear that the style wasn’t for him last year. What do u think he was complaining about to harden and d antoni? He stated that he wasn’t a fan of the lack of ball movement and constant iso ball.. He is used to pnr, more movement from his off ball shooters and cutters. He’s used to using the big more rather than just forcing everyone to stand in a spot and watch harden iso all day. It wasn’t his style. When harden was out and Paul ran the show by himself, the offense was much more efficient. But with harden in the game, the flow of the offense took away what Cp3 does best and made him less effective. On top of his injuries piling up last year.

Chris Paul's midrange mastery brought more to the Houston Rockets than I think he was given credit for. Only shooting threes and layups becomes problematic when the fouls you're fishing for don't materialize, especially on forced shots at the rim. Being a threat to score - from the elbows in particular - makes the pick and roll that much deadlier. Had they encouraged both Chris and James Harden to take those shots it would have put even more pressure on the defense.

Teams don’t want mid range shots as it is by far the worst shot in the game now. But in the clutch when it matters the most, you usually need a clutch middy. So there is still a very important use for the middy.
