Chris Perez has worked so hard to work through what he's been through, but he has become a truly talented artist and star in his own right. Heck, he has earned a Grammy to prove it! I still listen to Selena's music, and I always will - I loved her as much as any fan. But Chris Perez is still here and making GREAT music! To paraphrase the words of one of his newest songs, 'Just say Goodbye', CP has certainly hung on for the ride - and his solo ride has not been an easy one. So I have a great deal of respect for him. This is just such an awful, heartbreakingly senseless tragedy. I can’t imagine being 25 and dealing with something so horrific. I feel so deeply for her family and for Chris. I’m glad that he was able to find love and have a family, regardless of the families feelings about him moving on with his life. It’s also heartbreaking knowing that the family and Chris are at odds. The whole thing is just bitter sweet. He’s had a really stressful life. It’s nice to know that Chris is at a stage in his life where he can speak about it and think back on that time while keeping his strength. Pray for his happiness and success.

I still feel for him i went through something similar lost my guy and it hurts but you move on in life but as far as replacing that will never happen. Thats why i still am not interested in even looking for another man. Im glad he moved on but see divorced the chick said he cant move on he probably tried? I'm in Denmark, and here that wouldn't have been an issue - Chris wasn't even a newlywed husband, they had been married for 3 years, and all would have gone to him when she passed. All I need now, is a full movie from Chris's side: His start in music, meeting the Q's, getting in the band, and then the full love story as it happened.

Wasn’t a fan of tejano music at all, but i do respect Selena’s legacy. I’m very glad that Chris has moved on and forging his own way. He sounds like a VERY cool down to earth guy. Nothing but the best 4 him. Nothing against the actor who played Chris in the film, but he sounded NOTHIN like the way the real Chris sounds. Ha. I like how he handled the Yolanda question. In his book Chris said SELENA had called him on her way back to the motel from the hospital with YS. YS had gave some bullcrap story of being raped in Mexico or something. I can totally see why Chris and Selena we’re so compatible. Chris has come so far since her death. I’m glad he does not think about that woman because I feel that she thinks she’s famous now because her name is forever linked to Selena so I don’t even like saying her name. I’m glad he doesn’t blame himself in anyway for what happened to Selena. I listened to the interview the same DJ did with Abraham and it’s so sad when he said that her mother Marcella Somedays feels like she was just killed this morning even after all this time. I’m glad I got to listen to this interview and I do love the book he wrote which shows a different side of her then just an entertainer. I wonder if Chris knows about all of the podcast’s that people have been doing since the pandemic started where people are reacting to music suggested by other people. There’s so many people that are being introduced to Selena’s music that weren’t even born in her lifetime and they love her and say she would have blown past Janet Jackson, Madonna, J Lo and Beyonce.
