I almost backed over him with my car when he was about nine years old. We were both looking in opposite directions, but managed to miss each other. This was on Monroe Street in Columbia, South Carolina. His parents were smart enough to see what he had talent-wise at an early age. "Raise up a child in the way he shall go"..Proverbs. The Potters did a great job in raising Chris....

I love chris potter and his music and all. A family friend, John Swana, chris's band, kurt rosenwinkel n good people (swana brought me into the conversation!) It was awesome, and hope to make music with all these guys...was linked up with the britton brothers who had chris on their album. but, i have been slacking, i could have been practicing so much the last 3-4 years but have had messed up stuff and mental conditions ...now my drumset was apparently stolen and i have to play a gig on saturday...what should i do? haha Chris, very inspiring as always my man
