In addition to portraying James Reece, Chris is also known for his roles in the Jurassic World, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers, and LEGO Movie franchises, along with Moneyball, Zero Dark Thirty, Passengers, The Magnificent Seven, Onward, The Tomorrow War, and many others. He also played Andy Dwyer on the hit sitcom Parks and Recreation. He will voice Garfield and Super Mario in upcoming productions featuring those iconic characters.
This week on the podcast, Chris gives a major update about the future of the James Reece Terminal List series.

@Anand Laishram Thing is there are now Alternative platforms for entertainment/news/etc. This is both a Positive & Negative (like so many things) On the positive side we can watch What we Want. When We Want It. It was not that long ago when this was not true. On the negative side, it is getting harder and harder to find things in The Culture that unites us, as one society/culture. Its All that little Silicon Chip. Its changing Everything. Its The Printing Press..On Steroids.

That level of realism and authenticity in the show absolutely floored me while still having the acting and dramatic character traits. It is as close to a perfect show as I can think of. The level of appreciation I have for Chris, Jack, and Jared from this show is unbelievable…

Chris - if you see this!! Coming from a little old lady close to your mother's age, and a fellow Seattleite, I just want to say that your opening dance scene in GOT1 was my favorite scene in the whole movie. You did NOT "blow it", you nailed it! I have two nieces that live in Lake Stevens and have actually seen you there a couple of times. I'm way down by Lake Tapps but it makes me wanna hang out in Lake Stevens just for the chance to run into you, shake your hand and thank you for your work and for being what just appears to be a genuinely nice guy. Lol don't worry, I won't. God bless you, dude.

Sort of unrelated but i had the pleasure to meet Chris Pratt when i was working security. When i approached this red raptor(kind of funny when my coworker mentioned it after considering one of the Jurassic Park movies he is in was just released) he was driving to ask for their pass to enter the dock i walked up and said something stupid like "you look really familiar" because i wasnt expecting him to show up to this particular event as they only said it was a unnamed "VIP"... he looked me in the eye and shook my hand and introduced himself. Ive been around a lot of "stars" and most wouldnt give you the time of day or look your way. I sort of expected him to be annoyed that i was acting coy or something, but hes a real humble, respectful and nice guy.

I didn't think it was possible for me to have more respect for Chris Pratt, but damn this podcast did it.... I have listened to the books repeatedly over the last month while working. I love the complexity of the plot, the realism of the authors experience being transferred through James Reese. This series has opened my eyes to real world history I wouldn't have know about other wise. Case in point, the Selous Scouts. Operation Eland, Operation Dingo, etc.... amazing time in the special operations history, indeed. Thank you for these works, Jack Carr. Please continue the amazing work you do through TV and novels.

at my own get-away place and just binge watched Terminal List (2 episodes a night). Chris has made a lot of entertaining movies, but in this series he just seems to have stepped into an entirely different league. But so many great actors and actresses right there with him (and loved that cameo). Every evening just left me feeling stunned - the story, the action, the performances, the emotions it evokes, the realism - just wow! The rest of the industry needs to pay attention, get its sh*t together, and get back to making high caliber material - the stuff they're making is just all spiraling down the swirly very rapidly

Just wanted to say thank you for mentioning the greatest generation!! My Granddaddy was on the USS Wasp when it sunk in the Pacific during WWII. He floated for several hours before being picked up. There’s a picture of sailors floating with the Wasp burning in the background and he said he was one of them in the left corner of the photo. He was also shot in the neck by a German plane after jumping on an anti aircraft gun that wasn’t even his job. He shattered his ankle during that fight as well. He also survived the Coconut Grove fire in Boston by jumping out of a second story window and completely destroying his ankle again. He lost friends and an officer in the fire. He was a bad ass and my hero. He died in 2010 at 90 from an infection he got in the hospital. I’m gonna be 31 in October and my biggest fear is that these younger generations won’t know the sacrifices these amazing guys gave. With history trying to be erased thank you from the bottom of my heart for keeping their legacy alive. We have his diary from when he was on the ship and logged everywhere they went. I wish I could find out more but unfortunately I was the only one he ever really talked to and I was to young to remember much. Also never understood why he didn’t get a Purple Heart either. He had a scar on both sides of his cheeks from where shrapnel went through and through when the torpedo hit. As well as a big scar (obviously lol) from being shot in the neck. Love the show. We’ve watched it 3 times through now and can’t wait for more. God bless you and your family 🇺🇸

The entire book series is awesome but specifically the next two books are absolute gold, so visceral and gritty. I honestly don’t even remember when one starts and the other ends because I read them so quickly back to back. I can’t wait to see an on screen adaptation. If I had one concern it’s how Katie and James’ on screen chemistry is going to play out over the rest of the series because it seems to have been played differently in the Terminal List. Their story adds so much humanity to the series I hope y’all make it work!

Chris made a good point when talking about all the people involved behind the scenes. This is like the military in that it takes a lot of support troops and units working in various capacities to keep the combat arms guys working. There is a LOT going on to make movies or military operations work well. Hey, Chris! Having been stationed at Fort Wainwright, AK I have to remind you of the joke we made in the interior. The nice thing about Anchorage is that it's only 15 minutes out of Alaska. 😉

Great interview! Thanks for the blessing. You can see now why Chris's passion as the character James Reece was so superbly performed: his love for his country and the realization of the reality of loss intimately felt even though he was thousands of miles away at the time 9/11 happened. Had he not been commited to his desire to be an actor he might have by impulse, as many did, joined the military. He really did produce Terminal List?! He did a really good job. Scenes in that series are award winning. Really!

Just love what both of you stand for. A true example of what MEN need to be in today's world. I just finished "In the Blood" and look forward to the next one. I couldn't wait for the show when you talked about it on Rogan and it did not disappoint. Thank you for all you do.
