Ben But let's voice is just iconic. So recognizable. Their last two albums are basically all new members besides him, and you can tell how the writing changes, but still feels familiar.

I'm glad you recognized the vocal layering, Chris. So I will be honest to say something here that many will not readily consider, much less acknowledge or accept. But I feel you can look out for it and know what I mean. Musically, the album is great, even vocally it sounds great. But that's not totally Ben Burnley. The high-pitched harmonies are done by Keith, the rhythm guitarist. The growls by Aaron Bruch, the bassist. Ben has acknowledged that they both can replicate his voice to a fair good extent, and has also stated in an interview that they both recorded lead vocals for two songs on Ember. I wish it really was Ben, I really do, but checking out live videos of Breaking Benjamin from 2017 onwards, I am fairly certain Keith and Aaron are heavily in the mix.

I wish it was more of Ben too, but unfortunately he can’t really sing as well as he used to due to his condition. He has some sort of syndrome that is caused by heavy alcohol abuse. I don’t know the specifics, but I know he is almost always in constant pain. That’s why at live concerts he often has to take breaks from singing, and that’s also why his bassist, Aaron, does the screams and growls now. He is also getting older (last I checked is is in his 40s) so he can’t sing as well as he did 10/20 years ago.

@@Emily-gg4hf yes, he had this condition back then after Dear Agony. However, he feels much better now. The rest of the band is almost as old as him. I don't mind Aaron and Keith doing most of the singing, in fact, Ben does still play the acoustic rhythm on Sooner or Later, and is a fantastic songwriter. What I find wrong is people pinning ribbons to him when the others are the ones who really deserve credit, let alone acknowledge that due to his condition, his voice is never going to be the same as before.

@@advaitpetiwale9596I mean... Ben is the lead singer so of course people are gonna give him most of the credit for singing 😂
