The mirror idea is what makes the most sense to me as well. Ben saying “I know that I can find the fire in your eyes” seems to be himself saying that he knows he needs to dig deep and find himself. And that “cause I will be the death of you” seems to be him saying if he doesn’t change his ways (Ben Burnley has been open with his struggle of severe alcoholism) than it’s going to kill him.

That's an interesting way of looking at it! I can totally see how his struggle with overcoming alcoholism could be the message of the song. I really enjoyed the "fire in your eyes" lyric, from a self-reflection view, it sounds like someone who has lost their way/passion for life and is looking for a way to reignite that spark

The song that got me into Breaking Benjamin was the song “Without You” and it’s still one of my absolute favorite songs. It doesn’t get nearly enough attention as I think it should so I’m here to advocate for it. I hope you give it a listen and love it as much as I do. Thanks

I'm a little surprised that the older gentleman on the right hasn't really heard about breaking Benjamin I'm 44 and I been listening to them since I was 19 or 20, because they were big in the alternative rock genre 🤔

I’m 31 and the first song I heard by them was Blow Me Away on the Halo 2 soundtrack back in 2004. They’ve been one of my favorites since! ^^

Breaking Benjamin was my favorite band growing up as a kid and my first rock band I listened to! You should definitely react to all of their songs! My favorite albums by them are Saturate, We Are Not Alone, and Phobia. I recommend reacting to the songs Wish I May, Medicate, Polyamorous, and Skin next! ❤️

Good observation, based on other comments as well depression/alcoholism seem to be a running theme. The line about finding the fire in his eyes reminds me of trying to reignite/find the passion in life once more to be in a better place

I like Serge's early hypothesis that the person could be looking in the mirror and not liking what he sees. We've all been there at times. We all sometimes have to do some soul-searching to get back on track... or reset completely.
