This is the bit that blew Chris up. When this came out, my friends and I jacked that “you supposed to you low expectation having mutha fucka” line. Anytime someone bragged about doing something. If you try to pay attention, you’d be shocked how often you can say that line.

I like how you worded this bit in your title. One thing I've discovered is that these two kinds of people exist in every single race of people on the planet. There are people who handle their business and there are those who like to fuck it all up. Enjoy your content as always!

Yes which is why Dr. King emphasized content of thier character. How did we get so far from that? He'd be shaking his head at the idea of automatic white guilt.

Classic bit. When I was a kid, Eddie Murphy was the king of stand-up comedy and he was my favorite comedian. This special, "Bring the Pain," was when Chris Rock became my favorite.

This classic is a result of tenacity. Rock got a LOT of pushback as he was working this bit out in the time leading up to the special, but he never dropped it. He needed to get this out.

Bring the Pain is my favorite stand up special of all time and it still holds up from when I originally watched it back in 1996. This special is what made Chris Rock the GOAT for me! You should definitely do more Chris Rock especially from this special. Keep up the great work; I love seeing how much fun you guys have with your reactions and it makes it more fun for us watching! 😊

The part about keeping the club open is still 100% true. I live in a mostly white town and we usually only have 1 bar/club open at a time where mostly blacks hang out. And they are never open for more than a couple months before they get shut down. Every night there are some ignorant ass people getting into fights, and smashing shit, and causing police to shut the place down. It's like, why can't you just go there, get a drink, listen to music, and be chill. But no, they got to keep it real. We even get football players at the club throwing their whole career away because some dude bumped into him in the club so his while entourage had to tear the place down. Shit is so dumb.
@brucehaynes30447 ай бұрын
I used to live in an apartment complex near a black club. My apartment was 2-3 blocks away as the crow flies. I had to drive past the place almost every day. Sometimes on weekends, I would hear what sounded like gunshots. Sometimes on Monday mornings, one or more of the windows would be boarded over. Came home from working late one Friday and saw lots of people heading into the club. And about half a block beyond, three cop cars just waiting in a parking lot. That place would be open, get shut down… lather rinse repeat. Sometimes it would be closed for a long time, then open under a new name. Just a matter of time, and the cycle started again.

I really hope you appreciate that this wasn't just a comedy skit but an accurate social commentary aimed at white Americans who view black people as a homogenous community, lazy, having a chip on their shoulder and claiming racism at every opportunity. He acknowledges that there are elements in the community that reinforce that stereotype but the majority of black people are hard working, family orientated and law abiding citizens just like the Asian Indian community.

This couple is too young to remember that hit song from Bone in the 90's. The chorus was literally "it's the first of the month...cash your checks and come up". And we bumped that bs lol. Anyway, I love seeing younger people enjoying this "older" era of comedy...and I like yall as a couple. Wish you both the best 💖😊

THIS is more of what we need of these days. Why don't we get anymore great comedians or philosophers like this speaking out in public about things like this in 2020 and 2021? Instead all we get is one giant echo chamber of the woketivist ideology. Just think, a show that Chris did 25 years ago is even more relevant today than it was in the 90's.

One of my top five stand up routines ever. Here's the deal. An observant member of any race could come up with enough material to do a routine similar in theme about their race. There are no sacred cows in comedy and if you want to have a serious discussion on a topic that matters there can not be sacred cows related to that topic either. No one is anyone but themselves. No one gets voted in to be representatives of their race. Barring secret experiments in Area 51 no one in the government is making clones of people. No two people of any race are exactly alike just as no two people of any other category are exactly alike. We are all unique individuals so using any one particular feature to make judgements about a whole group of people seems stupid to me. If someone is doing jokes about the, shall we say, less productive members of a group that is the only sector of that group that is being made fun of. It has nothing to do with the other, more beneficial members of civilization in that group.

As a white man I don't care what color someone is cuz we all bleed red just treat me right and I'll treat u right but if that changes for some reason and I start getting treated poorly then to me that person becomes a POS cuz I got many black and Latin friends we were all on the basketball and football teams heck we all went to war together ont the field and I would die for my friends white black or otherwise
