Reminds me of the time me and my mum missed one of our trains going to Swindon. We were coming from Liverpool, so had a couple connections, and were transferring onto our final leg via, at the time First Great Western. It was a semi long wait. A train pulls in, and I ask my mum, is that our train. She says it isn't. I get this hunch, but think, my mum's smart, she knows what she's doing, so I go back to reading my book. Train leaves. I realize I still have this hunch. Ask my mum, was that our train? Her face does a 180. That was, in fact, our train. Meanwhile I'm totally relaxed because I'm just thinking, 'meh, we'll catch the next one, doesn't matter if we're a little late'. This second hunch was thankfully also right, as the kind platform staff were understanding, so helped us get on the next train, and explained the situation to the guard. Moral of the story, I know I should trust my hunches.

How does that even happen. Like how do you even get up to the gate and scan the boarding pass and it not tell the person at the desk that the ticket was invalid for the flight?!? Like what the heck is the point of scanning your ticket at the gate if not to confirm that, that person belongs on that flight. That sorta scary for a lot of other reasons than just ending up on the wrong flight.
