Such a beautiful, and sadly true song. Just since January of 2022 through now in August has already felt like 10 years. And I heard it mentioned in an interview that this song was wrote a few years back (during main COVID stuff) before it's release. I relate to the song so much, but for me, my "long year" started just over a year before COVID, as my Dad was diagnosed with cancer in December 2018, and he was taken from me in March 2019. So, the last almost 4 years have been a VERY, VERY LONG year, feels like yesterday and 1000 lifetimes ago all at the same time. Even though the song came before March of this year (I'll never forget as it was the 3 year anniversary of my Dad's memorial service), and obviously I don't know what all is planned for the tribute shows, it would be great to have you perform this one. Sending much love and thanks for doing some recent interviews, your words needed to be heard. "See" you at Wembley. 🎸 🖤🥁🎶🤘

Love this new song from you. I’m originally from Santa Barbara (now live in Iowa), so I always feel like I have a connection to you. This has been a very long year with unbelievable loss and heartache with the passing of Taylor. Totally off topic, but I wonder how many young watcher will know what all of the old "film" effects are? We older folks know what it is, but the younger ones who never have watched a reel to reel movie in school and have never watched a "Film" at a movie theater (now all digital) are probably wondering what all of those background words, scratches and frame changes are. 😂😂

Chris shiflett just never managed to write good songs despite the epic production value on all his solo stuff- I think it’s the lyrics, just too corny. If I had to write a country song in twenty minutes I would come up with these identical lyrics. Just doesn’t feel real/authentic to me his whole country thing
