To be fair the Chiefs defense was playing all out to stop the run to avoid dying a slow death. That left AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert on a young and largely inconsistent secondary that was ranked in the bottom half of the NFL in 2022. Jalen is good, but he's not elite and probably wouldn't be able to carry an offense with mid talent. He was not good last year with a lot of talent still surrounding him. It'll be interesting to see how successful he can be once his contract starts eating the salary cap.

The final piece of the puzzle for the eagles’ Super Bowl window was when they acquired AJ brown from the titans to go with Devonta smith. I feel bad for these receivers as with the right qb they would both be all pro. This team is plenty enough to win with hurts. Hurts got hurt mid season and that was that. I love it how no one talks about all the weapons these other qbs around the league have yet they’re missing the playoffs. Brock Purdy has BA, Kittle, Jennings, and a RB/WR hybrid in Deebo with Shannahn calling plays and still found it difficult to put up points in the playoffs. TLaw went to a team that had 1 winning season in the decade before he arrived, was a lock to have a top 10 pick every year, and let’s not even mention the Urban saga & in his 3 years, 2 of them have been winning seasons, including a playoff win, and if he doesn’t get hurt this year that would of been back to back playoffs runs. Knock it off, Rob! That’s what he’s done, taken the worst team in the league and turned them into a playoff contender by his second season, first with Doug P!

The word is overhyped because who besides Nick Wright rates TLaw high enough to be overrated? Hurts was seen as the clear-cut best QB in the NFC and 2nd or 3rd best QB in the league before the season started. I agree with Herbert

There are 2 problems with most of the broadcasters today. So many are QB centric. They analyze teams like its all the QB, which is not true. Not even close to true. Second, when the QB plays a few good games, 'He's an all-star.' A few bad games, an the team needs to draft someone new. Broadcasters are to short term oriented. I don't think it is fair to judge a QB until he has been in the league at least 3-5 years.

Agree with sims ..they are comparing him with Brock prudy but brock prudy took them to two nfc champion ship game and easily would have been two Super Bowl final.Brock prudy has played beyond expectations after making it to the team not Jaylen hurts sans one season
