I can relate to the movie Divorce in the Black...after being in a marriage to a physically, emotionally, psychologically abusive ex husband for 5 1/2 years... I thank God for getting me out of that messy misery and I am thankful and grateful that God blessed me with a REAL MAN who loves me unconditionally and 1st and foremost LOVES God and our family. Thanks Tyler Perry, Meagan and ALL of the wonderful actors in this AMAZING movie. I have watched it 2 times so far, and cried both times... Peace and Blessings everyone in Jesus Christ name 🙏🏽❤😊

No marriage is perfect, it takes work any successful marriage takes work if you're not willing to put in the work it won't survive "Why take the vow if you're just going to bow?" .... Wow I just came up with that maybe I'll hear it in a Chris Stapleton song in a couple of months... The grass always looks greener on the other side. However, when you get over to the other side you look back and notice that the reason it look greener is because you were blocking the sun on your own patch of grass. ~R.J.M.

If you think about music that gets played on the radio, I understand it brings in the money and it pleases the masses... But take a few minutes out of your day to listen to Chris Stapleton. THIS is what it's all about. It's stripped down, it's raw, there's no sound effects, no extra added sugar coated bullshit, this in my mind sounds like real music, and not just the sound, but the lyrical meaning is unbelievably good story telling, just him and his guitar, that's it. That's music to me

There's a ton of good music produced every year in all genres. But most of the good music never gets radio airplay, because the music industry is geared towards pop-ular music with the main target group being teenagers who get sucked into fads. And teens still have a rock n roll mentality, except today it's more of a hip hop mentality. Where your peers might give you shit if you listen to music that actually has a melody and evokes emotions other than rage, hate, greed or machismo.

My good friend Chris Stapleton, I'm your fan, my brother, I'm Brazilian, my name is Daniel Cosendey, it's been 3 years since I discovered you because I liked the old American Country and the app put your songs to play and I liked them all, now I'm looking for your new ones and I know about your tour in Texas, my dream today is to go to the United States and meet you, go to one of your shows and 🇺🇸 meet you. Friend, brother, you helped me a lot during the pandemic, I listened to your songs a lot and to this day I haven't stopped listening. I'm ♿a hug

Thank God for you, your songs put words to the pain a lot of people are feeling who cannot speak their own truth or are to afraid to say them. The people around them just do not sometimes understand how crippling pain and depression can be. Please keep writing and giving us your strength you and Morgane are definitely a gift each other and to us the listening public.

Chris Stapleton is one of my favorite artists. I'm 18, and everybody my age just listens to the songs about getting drunk and partying and call it country music. But this is real country music. My grandpa likes this, my dad likes this, I like this, and people for years to come are gonna like this. Thats what real music is.

This song put me on the ground, I felt like if I took a harder breath my ribs would crack into pieces. After 20 years of marriage, I just couldn’t do it anymore. The lyrics perfectly explained the broken heart that I’d had for years but didn’t know how to verbalize it. I couldn’t do it anymore. I mourned the loss of what I’d spent my whole life building. He couldn’t break my heart anymore. I couldn’t cry for him. My heartbreak was because I realized I’d lost the future I thought my life would look like. Growing old together. Watching our children hit each milestone together… it was all gone because I couldn’t stay a relationship with a man who made me believe I was so small, so worthless, any longer. I finally died inside. Didn’t want to but eventually I realized I’d spent more than half of my life fighting for a connection - even just a friendship he never wanted. I was just a box that had been checked off on his list that made him think he looked like he had it all. These words, said absolutely perfectly, were my truth for many years.
