I'm British, so have zero connection with the American National Anthem - this literally brought me to tears and I cant even begin to imagine how proud a feeling it would of been to be there to witness the most powerful and meaningful rendition of your country's national anthem being sung as it should. Its just raw and full of emotion and sang in a way that its all about the Anthem not the singer trying to show off every run or vocal trick they have possible. Chris Stapleton is in my mind the greatest vocalist to have ever graced this planet!

Played American 🏈 and went to high school with Chris. It's so surreal seeing him on the biggest stage. We are from a very small mountain town. I wasn't close to him, but I remember hearing him play music in school at a friend's house. Her brother was one of his bandmates at the time. We always thought he was good but could never have dreamed of this success.

Just when you think you have heard all the greatness Chris Stapleton has to offer and has offered, he pulls another ace out of his hat. I really don't know how CS could perform our national anthem any better. It was ear orgasms from the moment he opened his mouth to the moment he sang the last verse. The cadance was perfect, the guitar was perfect, the vocals were perfect!!! How does this man continue to wow his fan base like this???? I knew once I heard Chris was going to play the national anthem it was going to get this sort of reaction. I've never heard another country singer who had such a voice and his time couldn't have been at a more needed time. Music has always had a sort of healing effect on people. To bring people together. Just seeing so many football players and coaches in tears when just a few years ago theu would have been kneeling. It was such a powerful moment for sports and the country.

I was working at a sports bar when the Super Bowl went live. I never take my hat off (when I do wear one) nor do I place my hand on my heart when I hear the National Anthem, but when I heard Chris Stapleton sing "Oh Say can you see", I took my hat off and placed it over my heart for the rest of the song....and for once I felt proud to be an American but that lasted until the song was over. Now I hear him all the time during reactions and I can't help but shed a tear.
