This was only the 2nd time I've checked out your site. B4 I say anything else let me be very, very clear, I'M SO PROUD OF YOU SIMPLY BC YOU DIDN'T ALLOW A SUBSCRIBER SHAME YOU INTO DENYING A TRUE TALENT BY THE NAME OF CHRIS STAPLETON!! I ALSO APPRECIATE YOU DENOUNCING IT ON YOUR SITE TODAY. AND I BELIEVE LIKE YOU THAT MUSIC HAS NO COLOR. I'm a 66 yr old white female who, like you, simply enjoy singers who are truly talented. I have enjoyed singers from Smokey Robinson, Bone, Nirvana, The Platters, Whitney Houston, Blake Shelton, Blue Oyster Cult etc.. If a person puts themselves in a box with only what they believe is "Their music" then I feel really very sad for them bc they haven't opened their heart or ears which is where the musc first touches you. PLEASE, PLEASE REMAIN TRUE TO YOURSELF & NEVER LET A PERSON TAKE YOUR SOUL & YOUR LOVE FOR ALL FORMS OF MUSIC. WILL BE BACK TO HEAR & FEEL THE NEXT ARTIST YOU REACT TO. STAY STRONG IN THE FAITH & ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT WE ARE ALL THE FATHERS CHILDREN.

Truth, Akita Girl! Music is universal. 63 years walking this planet. I've sat in a flat in Oslo playing music with people I'd never met until that evening from the US, Norway, Poland, and Morocco. Someone would start playing and the others would chime in with their own voice, their own culture, their own background, and most importantly, their own heart, which made it beautiful. No language barrier. Just music. What Chris Stapleton does is incredibly difficult and daring. He crawls inside a song and finds its essence. Then he takes massive risks by exposing his heart and how the music speaks to him. Scary stuff for a performer but it makes the music real and visceral. And we respond to that heartfelt emotion. I talk about connecting with my audiences at the speed of music. No interpretation needed. From one heart to one heart. Chris Stapleton achieves that every time without fail. And to see the love between him and Morgane on stage and to hear the passion between the two when they sing is a thing of true beauty.

I commented on your Tennessee Whiskey video that he had runs for days in this song lol. He’s definitely not straight country. I absolutely love how he infuses soul, blues and gospel into his music. He has songs that are more country oriented. His background is largely bluegrass, which is heavily influenced by blues. Check out his old band the Steeldrivers. He’s written for a who’s who is the music industry, and has built his craft through hard work and dedication. He’s from Lexington, Kentucky, was valedictorian and lettered in six sports. He did Joe Rogan’s podcast and he’s just such a humble guy. Keep the reactions coming!

There's been hundreds of reaction videos to dozens of genres of music over the years and most have been entertaining. What has been missed...is going back in time to our great great grandfathers of music. Please...know....that all of today's music came from the blues. It came before Robert Johnson sitting in a chair and strumming on his old guitar...singing about his pain. It came from rows of slaves...singing in their native tongues...with a cadence and pitch...inspiring their predecessors to persevere. You can't know where to go...unless you know where you came from.

I have made the same mistake on occasion and have been corrected gently and harshly. When you put stuff out there in the public realm you open yourself up to all kinds of comments. Some good, some helpful, some bad and just some trolls. What I would take away from that comment is the information about the original artist and if correct, appreciate the correction, but would ignore the tone of the rest of it. Some people were just born miserable. Keep up the great positive attitude and I look forward to more reactions.
