Doesn't matter what this man sings. You already know. It's going to be killer. He plays and writes what he likes the way he likes it. His talent could only be held down by Nashville for so long. Go check out Steeldrivers and Jompson Brothers. Most of his earliest stuff that has been released was done by others. His wife is who convinced him to step out front and if you hear HER sing, which you can as she sings backup on most of his songs, it's just even more awesome.

I think if James Brown could’ve heard Stapleton’s performance, he would be pretty damn proud. FYI.... don’t know if you’ve already done this one yet or not, but Chris Stapleton did a cover of Aretha Franklin’s song “Do right woman, do right Man” (can’t remember if I got the title completely correct, but it’s Aretha Franklin’s song) you should probably check that song out as well. It’s a really good cover of Aretha’s song.
