@marysweeney73705 жыл бұрын
What I think is amazing is that just Chris and his guitar. He is so amazing, that people don't notice at first that there is no supporting band, no electronic vocal stuff added or taken away, no jazzy shows with dancing and fireworks. Nothing just his voice and his guitar. Both of which are excellent. People say he writes many of his songs too. A true talent. I just found him recently on youtube from these sorts of reviews.

I love that one too, but I could listen to Chris sing the directions off a pack of ramen noodles and be fine with it! Lol...plus he is still so humble, and genuinely appreciates that other people enjoy the music he creates. He is just phenomenal, in my opinion!

Chris Stapleton's tone and the way he delivers a lyric just reaches down and grabs the soul. He can sing rock, blues, country and bluegrass. Please check out his and Justin Timberlakes live performance of Tennessee Whiskey & Drink You Away at the CMA's. Two songs merged into one epic performance. Chris started out as a song writer and has written songs for Adele, Sheryl Crow and a host of some of country musics biggest stars. Also his Death Row, and What Are You Listening To live at the radio station are a must. Really any song by him is fantastic.

And you are right...I don't know how he could perform with such emotional depth in such a quiet room. Intimidating, right? Chris and wife Morgane are real deal, and that is what makes his music reach into my soul. Nothing artificial, no fancy digitized studio or trick mics. Well liked and respected, both, in music community, his wife's voice is great, and he has written well over 100 songs for others before his wife Morgane egg him to step out on own. Poor boy( dad a coal miner) that done it honestly, and quietly on the no publicity, today is giving back to others. Careful tho as it is easy to get pulled into the genre named Stapleton. Good honest reaction, and as someone once said, "To ones own self be true"!

Chris was with a Bluegrass band called The Steeldrivers from like 2007-2010, then started a band called The Jompson Boys (more of a hard rocking country styled band), then he broke away to do his own thing, but..., he's been a song writer for many years and has written many country hits for others. Billy, I'm tickled you liked it, but who wouldn't, the dude's got some pipes and major talent on that guitar too. Enjoy.....
