He does a ton of originals and that’s how he started his career but also does some mind blowing covers. He wrote Grammy winning hits for a lot of artists. His wife ( who is his backup vocal on stage ) encouraged him to sing infront of people and rest is history. I’d recommend It’s a Man’s World -James Brown cover he did. He was just watching a band play and they pulled him up on stage and he destroys a James Brown song.
