this is similar to the rose kelly story, when sam was the neglected child, rose was the drunk failure of a mother and Tom got her to be a good, caring, normal mother.

If Chris didn’t resign he would have lost his job he got way too close to Scout but it’s sweet that he cares so much he is so driven to help

@@peterwilliamskelhorn6675 very true, he would have lost his job. Karen was basically fired too, well they say "suspended" but she wouldn't be reinstated. I liked Karen but I do think Michael Byrne had a tighter grip on the school.

@@MrTardis11 Karen was the 2nd headteacher ive watched on Waterloo road after Rachel Mason. I watched the first episode of series 5 (when waterloo road got merged with John Fosters) just to see what the programme was like and i enjoyed it. I watched it again in October 2010 when Karen was having trouble with her husband Charlie after she found out about his "girlfriend" Maria

@@peterwilliamskelhorn6675 yeah I love the whole show I encourage you to watch the first 4 series too. Rachel is the best head for me but Karen had a lot of family drama which was interesting, she’s in the first 10 episodes of Series 7, she kind of has a similar exit to Rachel ending up with her man in Rob Scotcher but at least she got a happy ending

They're not a couple, he's just looking out for her as a teacher, but he's crossed the boundaries and got involved in her personal life. The only student and teacher "relationship/romance" is Cesca Montoya and Jonah Kirby from Series 6 I believe :)
