Crazy story but I was at that spot in La Jolla taking some video clips last week and the first thing that came to mind was Wardo. The reason being that I shot photos of him there like 20 years ago when we had a huge El Niño swell. Also shot at that 2nd spot that same week in Mex with some other surfers. Good times and love seeing him still ripping.

@@JohnDoe-ko5xlwatch the opening of the clip again, it’s La Jolla. I was a contributor for Surfer and Transworld Surf and mainly shot around this area for a decade+. I know the spot in Mexico as well and it rarely breaks but like I said this was 20 years ago, maybe longer, when we had a giant swell hit So Cal. 🤙
