This was extremely helpful for me as I am going to use Whole Brain Teaching this year in my fourth grade class. Andre is a master teacher with superb enthusiasm and ability (far beyond that of mortal men). I will be watching the video again to gain greater insight into Whole Brain Teaching! The pacing and length of the presentation was perfect!

Thank you for taking the time to put this together, it was very helpful for me. I especially like the categories for the classes with the challenge to move up. I will be using that with my 7th grade science students this year!

Great ideas that can be used at any grade level. I really like the traveling scoreboard which I will be using this year.

Some good organizational tips but many extrinsic rewards, praise, please-others (the teacher) imho. I prefer a focus on meaningful learning and personal responsibility and development.

WBT really works! Great job but I think you should model shirt tucked in and belt on even in video.

Love the tips, but wondering how the intro works while addressing in the hallway? If all of this takes place before the students enter the classroom, are there 25+ kids standing in the hallway trying to hear the directions (as other kids walk past to get to their classes)?

I love much of the procedures in your classroom!!! Does the daily scoreboard help with the scoring of each class on the legendary status goal or are those looked at with different criteria?

Does this method encourage cheating? How do you deal with cheating? Sometimes speed and quality are not directly correlated. Some students do not do better when rushed. How do you guarantee proper understanding of concepts if speed is the measure?

For "living legend" - what happens when one class moves ahead to star and the rest are still on rookie? What is the next level goal? And where is that posted? What happens when each class has a different goal? Who keeps track?

I like your star homework idea, but it wonder how you grade the homework? Does 1 star equal less points than 4 stars?
