I, too, have a Super Reverb with brown tolex. Originally, it was a Silver-Panel Super Reverb from the early 1970's and - at one point - had been converted from a combo to a head. A friend of mine rebuilt it to Black-Panel spec, put it in a new cabinet, and covered the cabinet with brown tolex. It is a VERY special amp. You enjoy yours and I'll enjoy mine! Keep up the great work! :)

14:27 I have to admit that a tremolopedal is something I got to have on my board and I just love using it. I had the Trelicopter, but recently swapped it for a Tone City Tremble, because that pedal has a volumeknob, so it can make up for the small volumeloss you get while using tremolo. Nice vid, btw. As usual.... 😉

Fun! Always enjoyable listening to your playing, thanks for that! Guitars aside I have a few - probably replaceable but still . . . (1) My Vox Valvetronix Tonelab - for more than a decade it was happily sitting on the side of the desk as TV commercials came streaming thru the door and needed an immediate guitar track! (2) My Paul Crowther (Double) Hot Cake. It was my one and only OD / Distortion Pedal since the mid 70s - 2 of them were 'borrowed' so I called Paul and now enjoying his more recent '3 in 1' version. (3) Effectrode Blackbird - always on, for a lot my DI recording the 3 valve thing gives me a Fender / Dumble 'halo' (4) Neo Ventilator II - I can't afford a Leslie so unless I can use a real one on the odd occasion this does the trick (5) TC Electronics Alter Ego - I grew up with WEM Copycat and Roland Space Echo and this one gives me lots of retro options when I don't want super clean digital delay. I still have my vintage Fender Blues Junior amp but I've found over the years that a decent Fender Twin, Marshall Combo, Vox AC30 even a Roland Jazz Chorus are fine for outside wokr live or studios so there ya go 😃

Buyers be aware!! when you want to chase the Marshall amp. JCM800 is not ONE amp, it is a series of (quite different) amps - in head, 1x12 and 2x12 versions. They come in 50w and 100w versions. There are 3 main typologies: 4-input Plexi/Super Lead style, the early 2-input MV style and the later real 2 channel style with channel switching, that Chris is talking about here. If you want to find one of those you have the following options: 2205/2210 50w and 100w heads, 4210 1x12 50w combo, 4212 2x12 50w combo, and the one Chris shows 4211 2x12 100w combo. 50w and 100w items are very similar in sound, but not exactly the same. Hope that helps you to find the amp you are looking for.

A very high percentage of the time when I’ve heard some playing live and thought I need to know what amp that is, it was a BF Super Reverb. In other instances, it was often another Fender with 10” speakers (Vibrolux and Princeton). For whatever reason, Fender 10s can sound amazing.

I use a Line 6 Pod Go to practise at home and also find, that there is no useful tremolo pedal inside there. I use a Harley Benton (Joyo) Vintage Tremolo in the Effects Loop of the Pod Go, that does the job! So I fully understand, that you keep the Mooer Trelicopter

How do you set the internal dip switches on your EP Booster? I’m currently running mine with both in the down/off position, which Xotic calls “vintage mode”… Grissom does this as well, and it can definitely get pretty woolly on a neck position Humbucker tone. Very curious how you set yours.
