So how do you get them onto the flat parchment rounds?
@risecopeman54098 сағат бұрын
Since the carnivore recipes are generally nutritionally dense, have lots of fat and protein, then these end up being more than a healthy snack. They replace a meal and do not cause crazy cravings. A win win. So much better than SAD stuff.

Hi Chris, you always blow me away! I would like to ask you if you could just make these into rounds and then just break them apart if you don't care about the triangle shape. Also, if people want to economize on the crab dip, you could always mix an equal amount of flaked white fish in there and you could make twice as much dip with the crab flavor.
@ChrisCookingNashville21 минут бұрын
I agree that's a great way to save money and still get that delicious crab flavor! As for dehydrating them as whole rounds you can do that, but it’s goin to hr much harder to get them dehydrated in the center. Cutting is a relatively quick process so for me the time savings isn’t worth the extra frustration of longer dehydrating and then breaking them apart later.

When I was a kid, my Mom made chilli with refried beans because I didn't like the taste/texture of regular beans. My kiddos and I cant have cream cheese due to the "gums" in them causing eczema. I went and found mascarpone cheese (made with heavy cream!) and it is sooo good, with no additives. I added one drop of "english toffee sweet drops" to about 1/4 cups mascarpone and it tasted like cheesecake! If you all havent tried mascarpone cheese for a dessert- I highly recommend it! I bet some cinnamon on these tortilla chips, dipped in this "cheesecake" would be incredible!!

here come the questions, where i am my cottage cheese has additives, can i use that? i can get 4% fat content, also only can get a bar of mozzarella, either regular or pizza style, which would you recommend ? thanks for all your hard work to keep us carnivore/keto
@ChrisCookingNashville4 сағат бұрын
Hey there. No worries. Yes the additives don’t cause any issue in the recipe. I just know a lot of people freak out about it so I save myself the headache of their hollering by not using it on camera. Lol As for the mozzarella use the regular. Pizza style has a low moisture content meant for browning on a pizza so we want the opposite. Fresh mozzarella has too much water but the low moisture is too dry. The regular is in between and will work the best for you. 😊👍🏼

Oven and microwave instructions are on the recipe card for you.
@cocacolafiesta8 сағат бұрын
Great recipe. I have 2 questions for you because as you are a chemist chef you’d know the answer. Could I add pork panko in the mixture to simulate a corn tortilla texture and could I add salt on top of the mixture before it’s rolled out for that salty taste? I know there are some (even myself) when I see people post questions is "just try it out and see" but with the ingredients being a little harder to get I don’t want to ruin a batch. I know you have this knowledge of what goes with what and what the reactions they may cause when combined. Thank you for all you do!
@ChrisCookingNashville8 сағат бұрын
Good questions. So there’s already some pork panko on this. Too much will cause weakness in the protein structure so you can’t do much more but you could add a little extra if you’d like. It’s not going to make a huge difference to the texture really beyond what’s already in the recipe. For salt I’d suggest you add that right before they go in the dehydrator to get that salty layer on the outside of the chips like you would when you get a bag of them.
@cocacolafiesta8 сағат бұрын

@ChrisCookingNashville4 сағат бұрын
My next thought would be ricotta but I haven’t tried myself. Are you sure it’s not an additive you’re reacting to? Diary and enzymes and salt should be essentially the same from one cheese to another. Perhaps there’s an additive making you sick as many cottage cheese brands add gum and other junk.

Hi Chris. I’m 3 wks in and I keep cheating with candy. The first week went great. Since then, I’ve had a couple pieces every night. Can’t throw them out because my hub is still eating SAD. Did u have strong sugar cravings early on? Lost 17 lbs so far but still 😢
@ChrisCookingNashville8 сағат бұрын
Hey there! Yes the first few weeks is the hardest with the sugar. You have to get all sweet flavors totally out of your mouth. Even if it’s a keto sweetener don’t have anything sweet for a few weeks. That’s the only way to stop the cravings. When you want something sweet like candy eat something salty like beef or eggs. Or even put salt on your tongue. You’ll know quickly if you’re hungry or not, and the cravings will be exposed as nothing more than addiction. I know it’s hard, especially with someone else eating SAD but you have to say no and grit your teeth. This is the hardest part at the beginning but you can absolutely do it. Don’t let your addiction define your actions. You’re worth so much more than that. ❤️ I’m here for you as is the whole community. And if you want extra support we’ve got the private group for more of that as well if that would be helpful. You can do this. I believe in you. 😊

Looks wonderful except that cottage cheese has the emulsifier carrageenan in it. Carrageenan is used in animal tests to cause pain and inflammation. I learned this when I added heavy whipping cream to my KetoChow drink and had total body pain. This is of particular intensity in low estrogen people such as menopausal women and men with declining hormone levels that starts in their 40’s. Estrogen down-regulates the pain sodium channel nav1.8 that when stimulated signals pain. Obviously, hormone replacement therapy helps tremendously.

That’s why you buy one without carrageenan, which I did. There is no carrageenan in daisy cottage cheese. It’s made with milk, cream, salt, and enzymes and that’s it.

I love your recipes and the videos. You are being successful with the changes to your life and health! But, why does the 'free' ebook require a credit card? So disappointing.

It doesn’t require a credit card. Which is exactly what it says on my website. Leave it blank. You have to read and follow instructions rather than being disappointed and blaming me for what I already gave you instructions for. It’s been downloaded over 600 times, so clearly everyone else read the instructions just fine. What’s disappointing is spending weeks of your life creating a free resource for someone just because you want to help and then having a person refuse to read instructions and then come to your channel to publicly you try to shame you with “disappointment” as if your offer of free content to help somehow isn’t good enough to suit them. And all because they can’t read a simple paragraph right next to the button they click. How embarrassing for you.

diet should be about what makes you healthy, not what a cult dictates is "pure".
