One thing Ange said which gets a bit lost sometimes is he does a lot of his work for the long-term. That might seem straight forward, but actually it’s much easier to coach for right now. He has brought in players who will play for the club for at least 5+ years. That means they are younger and are going to need training and shaping as players. If you get an older player you can more easily plug them into position and tell them to go for it. Younger players take more work. People get angry about him making 8 changes in the Cup game. But Ange has to monitor - the squad players have played together and are sharp enough, - that the first 11 don’t burn out by the end of the year and are still able to be sharp in the last few months - all the players need to be tracked to reduce chances of injuries eg Dom Solanke is coming back from an injury that’s why Ange took him off early, so he doesn’t re-injure himself. He could have put on our first team and probably had a more comfortable win. It would have made his own popularity higher. But it wouldn’t be the right thing for the team longterm. We would be feeling it by the back end of the season.

Long before Coventry game he said about that final third making sure we put games away yet against Coventry they couldn't even get a shot off towards goal so what is he actually doing to create goals. Exactly! I couldn't agree more, why the hell don't our players take more shots ffs-?? I don't understand their apprehensive to shoot the damn ball more often, it's so frustrating to see all of them constantly pass sideways and back and forth trying to find the perfect opening to feed someone the ball when there aren't as many spaces to do so because they take to damn long to bring the ball down the pitch ffs! So by the time they get the ball down the pitch defenses have had time to set up and so they waste their time passing the ball around and for the most part act afraid to shoot the ball!!! It's freaking crazy as shit, this slow moving the ball out from the back it slows the attack way down and limits our opportunities to take shots quicker. But their is no excuse to not take more shots from outside the box, when we do it at least gives us more chances to score.

Having too much possession can be a curse if you don't play more direct because the other team end up camped behind the ball inside their own box and you end up probing playing side to side unable to thread anything through. You're better letting the other team have more space to play out so you in turn have space to attack but direct. Coventry weren't messing about when they attacked it was simple and direct. Straight towards goal and shooting. And it might be old school having a sweeper but having everyone pushed so far forward is suicide football. Why can't he tweak his methods to counter being caught on the break all the time and make sure at least one defender stays back to sweep up any counter attacks at least holding up the player long enough for others to get back. A couple of simple tweaks I think would make all the difference.

I don't really understand all the hate. I've only seen the Everton game and highlights of the others, and it seemed like Spurs really took it up to what's arguably the best team in the comp in Arsenal. With new and younger players playing, I think it's understandable more time is needed for everyone to gel and more likely than not chances will start being converted into goals. The fans lack of patience is just utterly astounding. I got on the Spurs bandwagon following Ange, so will be more than happy to jump off if it's this toxic bs that drives him out rather than well thought-out deliberation. Fans are allowed to be emotional, but it looks like babies throwing toys out of prams, far from the winning mentality Ange is trying to instill. It takes time people. Get a grip. Ange might fail, but you don't need to make it a certainty by piling on the pressure when there's a chance that backing him could work out.

Spurs have a chairman who continues only to sanction the purchasing of above average players. ENIC won’t pay for quality international players because they cost too much, hence Spurs will never win any trophies. Some excellent managers have arrived at Spurs over the past 15 years, but all them have had to cope without the resources to buy players who will take Spurs to the top. Every year, in the summer season, Levy buys a few ordinary players and then when Spurs consistently lose matches, the manager is sacked. This pattern has been the same since 2010, and Spurs under Levy, it will carry on. I have no doubt that Ange will be sacked before the end of November on the strength of the awful performances on the pitch this season. You cannot create a title chasing team with average players. Spurs desperately need new owners who will properly fund the buying of decent players. Under Levy and ENIC, Spurs will continue to be a poor team.
