I've traveled all over the world with my job in the oilfields and I love Laredo because it's a slower pace of life and people are very nice. It's kinda like a huge May Berry (Andy Griffith) town to me.

As someone who lives 45 minutes from Texas (Louisiana)I hate consistent road work, but I love going to Texas!!!!! And I love the hair color!!!

Great vlog good points the grass is never greener in other places you just have to do you're research and make the best decision pray housing market everywhere is expensive honestly anywhere of intersection same thing out here in California you need lots of money out here and need to know Spanish and other things the weather however is the best year around.

Everything you said was correct about Texas, I moved to a suburb in the Dallas area about 3 years ago and I which that I knew all of that information before I moved here especially the heat.

Thank you for sharing this. I’m a black queer woman and I have a black partner so though I really really really wanted to move to Dallas, I know it wouldn’t be safe for my family due to their beliefs and laws. I can’t wait to visit though though 😊

Awww you're so welcome my love!! I would say trust your intuition to make the best move that is right for both of you! No matter where you go in America it's going to have its pros and cons sadly for us. But From what I've seen and been told, Dallas is a great place to live and thrive over any of the big cities in Texas!! Take that leap and see how it goes and if it doesn't work out, at least you can say you tried. Life's too short! :)

A lot of people don’t realize that there was a huge Black community in Laredo during the early part of the 20th century - and a lot of Laredoans have Black blood in them and don’t even know it. I am born and raised in Laredo and am part Black - I attended Howard University in D.C. - also lived in New York and am teaching here now at United South High School. Plus: Laredo has a contract with San Antonio saying that it will not build any tourist attractions that can potentially rob San Antonio of its tourist income from Mexico - that’s the reason there’s nothing to do here.
