This ATV has found a new home after many years of service. We have replaced it with a jeep that works better as a mod of transportation now that our son has his license. Here is the link for what we have been working on with the jeep. kzbin.info/aero/PL9vNnMj1ZmcYLn01lJYmZE_dQPfvXJT8n

take the rear wheels off and flip them around so the valve stems are inboard and then swap them side to side so the rotational tread is going the correct way, i did this and the rear is 5'' wider with the tires flipped and flopped

Had the same problem with the rear rack. Max 200 lbs weight on these things. Also, constantly check the rear bolts on the axle and chain adjuster; they will loosen as little as 2 hours of riding. Replace the junk washers with 1/2" locking washers to solve that problem.
@ChrisDoesWhat8 жыл бұрын
+Magic Rooster Thanks for the info, and yes we had the same issue with the back axle, you can never put enough torque on it for the thing to stay together. I found it best to replace bolts with America steel s much as possible, though I doubt anything is from America anymore.

@ChrisDoesWhat8 жыл бұрын
Just the light not working, or it does not go into neutral. This switch for this is down on the transmission, I would not worry about it if it does go in neutral, but if you really want to fix this, pull out the multi-meter and start testing wires and cleaning connections. If you have never really worked with mechanics, be careful, you could cost yourself more than taking it to a mechanic.

Chris Does What you could buy a blaster for the same price a used one and rebuild very cheap I'm a bike mechanic.
@ChrisDoesWhat6 жыл бұрын
Or I could buy this one, do very few repairs at all over 4 years, and now we are going to get rid of it. I have no interest in riding ATVs, just thought I would give my 2 cents on this one for other people. I am a middle age man that lives on a golf course in Florida and wants to get a 50ft sailboat to sail the world with his beautiful wife of over 20 years. You sound like you are a great mechanic, and I am sure a blaster is fun, we just have very different ideas on what we want to do in the future.
@moegreenbl6 жыл бұрын
Chris Does What I don't know how you could gather what I want to do in the future or how much money I have based on me not thinking that a Chinese bike is as well built as a Japanese your gathering information from nothing. I'm just basically saying you can get a quality machine for just about the same price if you're willing to go used I'd rather have sense of security and to be honest with you a lot more power which equals more fun. worrying about if my machines going to break down every 2 seconds destroys my nerves. Don't get me wrong I have two of these I have an ATV an also a pit bike they have their applications basically riding around the yard because I live on 20 acres attached to a state park.
@ChrisDoesWhat6 жыл бұрын
I never said how much money you had, nor do I care what you want to do in the future. I have no idea what a Blaster is, nor do I care, I was just giving feedback on this ATV for I guess people without Blasters.

I don't know why people say Chinese ATV or motorcycle lots of good company parts are made in there like Yamaha or Honda
@ChrisDoesWhat8 жыл бұрын
It is because they cloned a Honda engine. I don't know much about this, never really cared, but the engine on this ATV has been running well for 3 years now. We have replaced the CDI and coil, but that was only to improve the performance, we also went with a smaller sprocket off the engine to help with the larger tires that are on the back. My son has went through one set of tires on this thing, so I don't have a problem with the brand, and I can buy 3 of these for the same engine size Honda, this has a 230cc engine.
@anthonybray16097 жыл бұрын
Yamaha and Honda are Japanese
@mikesanchezgsxr7 жыл бұрын
Anthony Bray A lot of their electrical components are chinese made for honda yamaha suzuki and even Harley etc. Most of those bikes are Japanese but some of their parts are made in China.
@thememulous95616 жыл бұрын
There's a quality difference in alot of them, for example for a suzuki yamaha polaris or any of the other real brands you'll notice how things don't come loose after a few hours of riding and how the engines sound nice and how they don't die as fast, but also another noticeable difference is that they aren't small urban atvs like the one shown in the vid, you see... the atv in the vid is meant for small yards and maybe a few acres but when it comes to real trails or having some real fun going fast or hitting mud holes you'll definitely see the difference
