Do NOT underestimate what you are doing. Simplicity is rare on tjis media. Everybody and their dog wants to be a sombody. An instructor that wants to boast about themselves by convoluting simplicity. Thank you again for your much appreciated basic beginners instruction. I look forward to.many more steps in musical education.

@@ChrisHenryVideos It's definitely working. You're right: these songs are so familiar they roll right off your finger tips and your brain knows instantly when you're wrong. They also provide tons of space for trying all the new techniques you're teaching. My only criticism is you talk about these songs so often you should abbreviate them to save yourself time. We're going to work on some TTLS and some TLIYL and some YAMS and some MHALL today folks! Wait, maybe that won't work. On second thought, just keep doing what you're doing, Chris! :)

I’m glad you can feel where they can be a good bridge for exploring without having to have the road map out all the time so to speak! Maybe some nicknames might come for brevity! 😀

How do the workshops work??
@ChrisHenryVideos4 ай бұрын
each one is different, but with this one, i'll probably start of with easier material, then work up to double stops, and then end up with some improvising and Monroe Style Devices. Plenty of chances for questions - some are more interactive than others, a lot of that can depend on who is in attendance. this one is going to be on the larger size, so i'll probably be able to cover more material by doing a lot of demonstrations guiding and then answering questions along the way. So that's a basic idea for the flow - happy to aim to answer any other specific questions you might have!
