@nadeem Asghar "my parents left Pakistan to seek wealth/a better life. But I feel a better life was left behind by those like my parents." I feel the same about my friend from Tibet. Obviously he was living on the border in India after what happened. The pull of the west seems strong to some people, yet they had the most perfect life already. The west is a trap and sometimes parts of it seriously lacks the way of being I see in India and Pakistan. Lobsang was so happy when I gave him his first television in my country, but deep down I felt terrible about it ! Like I contributed to corrupting him in some way ! haha. I was born in the UK too, but have missed Nepal since I was born here ! I hope you understand what I'm saying. I'm six years older than you, and I know I will go back in my old age and die there. Depending on how life has been over here for you, the finances could translate well to relocate at some point. You could live like a king, probably experiencing a better life than your parents did whilst in Pakistan. Easy for me without family, maybe different for you ? 🙏

@@muslima518 Why r u sending love? Do u also send replies to indians barking out of jealousy on Pakistan posts??? Answer is no..... No need to send love by mentioning Pakistan. Sending love to those who brutally tortured innocent Kashmiris... Is a traitor of Pakistan. Remember this always.

Assalamualaikum Chris: you certainly draw the crowd when they hear you speaking Urdu, even with your American accent👍🇵🇰 The meal you ate at the restaurant was a nice mutton nihari! At 1200rs, it was a little high in price for Karachi! I hope you went to the Burns Road area at night where there is the biggest concentration of street food vendors 🇵🇰👍

Ironically the countries described as being "the most dangerous in the world" in the medias turn out to have the most nicest and friendly people ever. Iran is a similar case to Pakistan too. Friend of mine once went there said nothing but good about iranians who were so open, kind, friendly to him during his holidays in Iran. Same can be said for Pakistan too. God bless Pakistan and pakistani people.

Major kudos on your Urdu proficiency, Chris. Thanks for setting the bar this high for those of us who would like to learn a bit of the local language when we visit a place. Re the title of your video, though, I think it's a little misleading -- I'm sure unintentionally. I'm Pakistani (or Pakistani American), and fully understand that the media coverage Pakistan gets in the West has mostly to do with the violence against foreigners that occasionally happens there (thankfully less so now). But why would random acts of kindness or friendliess make the news anyway? Yes, Pakistanis are generally friendly and helpful -- more so if you're a foreigner (because foreigners are a novelty) and still more if you're white (because, frankly, Pakistanis are still very shall we say color conscious?) But it's not for nothing that the State Department (note, not the media) generally warns Americans (read white Americans) to exercise extreme caution when in Pakistan. Things have gotten better over the last few years, yep, but there's still, unfortunately, a very real risk of an attack on them or of them being kidnapped. If anyone is in any doubt of this, witness the head-of-state level security protocol that is provided foreign sports teams that have slowly begun to tour Pakistan after about 20 years. (There was one high-profile tour by a Sri Lankan cricket national team in 2009, which ended horribly). So, as much as I agree with your assessment on Pakistanis in general being super friendly, I think young, adventurous Americans wishing to emulate you here are best advised to exercise the caution that the US state department advises. Once again, super props to you on learning the language as well as you have!

Welcome to Pakistan. When you are trying local food, get some assistant from locals, so they can guide you how to taste it. Like when you order a tea cup, you can ask them pure strong tea (taeez chai), light tea, tea with a lot of milk (dood pati) or tea without sugar. When you order any food, ask them to serve you with less amount of chili and cooking oil.
