An interesting point is why there are many young musicians in Japan., Japan is a country with universal compulsory music education. Schools have several teachers of music and other arts. In elementary school, everyone learns notes, the basics of playing instruments. In middle school, they study music theory, the basics of the orchestra. In high school, students are divided into extracurricular clubs: sports, dance, music. Groups are often already formed in clubs. So a virtuoso musician with experience at the age of 20 is quite common.

True. This band might be a bit on an exception however, the band from the start was largely comprised of veterans, the current drummer went to a music college and the singer comes from a singing family.

Their parents are two of the greatest traditional Japanese enka singers of all time, both of whom have won the Grand Prix at the Japanese Grammy Awards. I am grateful to both brothers for being blessed with thoroughbred throats and for taking advantage of this gift !! His singing voice is similar to that of his older brother Taka, but with a youthful and fresh feel. Maybe one day you will reach a level of maturity like Taka. At that time, I will feel more different from Taka's personality, and I am looking forward to it💓

After finishing this I went to see some covers to see those points he pointed and damn, I’ve loved this song because other reasons but I never know it was a vocal masterpiece And I looked at Hiro as an artist with a unique voice but I didn't notice the incredible techniques and never how hard to learn and perform this song

I saw My First Story and Reviver in the same title and then I saw that it was one of your videos and I knew IMMEDIATELY that it was a must watch. My First Story is hands down my favorite J-Rock group of all time and this song, coincidentally, was the song that introduced me to them. Needless to say, I've never looked back. I've been slowly working through your Discover Your Voice program for months now, having watched through and done some of the work in your Free Your Voice videos. They're very eye-opening and my confidence in my voice and what I can do vocally is slowly increasing. Now I've got you breaking down one of my favorite artists and what they do vocally. I can't thank you enough for what you do and the help your unique teaching style has been, so, thank you!

‘Dawn’ft sayuri is just another level of awesomeness with my first story . The MV is good but there’s a live version where she appears on stage with them , she’s kooky , wears a poncho and plays bare foot but my god .. her and hiro are vocally a match made in heaven . An honourable mention goes to u.s born Japanese phenom nano .. she has a song x my first story called saviour of song .. two vocally diff artists again collaborating in brilliance

The voice is similar to Taku's voice, but it is a different voice. Hiro's ballad song is amazing 💓 It has a different charm from his brother's voice 😊 As an aside, Taka and Hiro are very famous in Japan. Because their parents were also famous singers. Because of that, it seems that it took a long time to become really popular. However, it is interesting to feel the quality of your parents' voices.😂

Please add it to your list for more videos from them.. First time watcher here. So glad you checked out MY FIRST STORY. Awesome band and Hiro is an amazing vocalist. I've heard other songs from them, but this is the first time i heard this song, and it was great. Hope you do more analysis on their music If I can recommend you a band to check out, take a look at The Wise Man's Fear, heavily underrated metalcore band. Tyler Eads (lead vocals) and Joseph Sammuel (unclean vocals) are amazing vocalists and i think you would have a good time analyzing their vocals. Two songs i recommend are "where the sky is empty" and/or "sea of fire" and both have music videos.

Hi Chris, I’m fairly new to the channel and I’m having an absolute blast watching all your videos. As a Japanese music lover myself, it’s not only fun to watch your reactions of my favorite artists, but it also allows me to learn and understand about them much deeper, and I’m really grateful for that. There are so many more great artists in Japan that I want you to know, and watch you analyze. Let me start by recommending you “Mrs. GREEN APPLE”, one of the currently best selling bands in Japan. For your first time experience, I recommend you listen to “Que Sera Sera”, and also its live version. And for a more technical song that may interest you, I suggest “Nachtmusik”. Please have a think about them. Sorry for the long comment. I’ll be looking forward to your future videos, regardless of whether they may be on Mrs. GREEN APPLE or not!
