Pops and bangs is unburnt fuel and after a few years of it, it WILL burn a hole in your muffler. Ask any fz09 owner who didnt use air injection system block off plates after installing their yoshi exhaust.. get about 10k miles before you have to buy a new can.. not worth it.

In Canada too, wasn't sure if there'd be issues with customs or what have you by sending an ECU south of the border. Good to know this can be done but the exchange rate kinda makes this borderline too expensive, plus the cost of shipping. How long did the process take and what was your total in Can dollars? Also, curious how the 600 sounds compared to the 750? Any chance you've done a sound comparison with the bikes side by side and if so please SHARE!

To get rid of the popping remove and plug the Pair Control Solenoid Valve. The flash will disable the FI light but not the valve. With the valve installed you will get an inaccurate AFR reading due to the extra air being pumped into the exhaust.

I hope you mapped in in the correct map select because it’s out in the software. Also the fuel trims need to be reset to 100% or it will stay lean if you open the STP. They do not need 30% fuel. Also was the clutch switch connected? If it’s not working the Secondary injector don’t work.

The clutch switch was working. It only needed a few percent up top. Around 5k rpms i had to add a good bit. I'll look into those fuel trims. I forgot about those! Good tip.

Nice job man.I got the exact same year an model,I went with a MJS mid pipe and m4 gp shorty slip on and got it tuned by a really good local tuner near Columbus he went from 103 to 112 to the wheel with FTECU software.By the way What software are you using?

I love the clap back on slow down on my 04 Kawasaki ZZR 1200 with Radiant Cycles GP exhaust . Hey Chris what can do to get some more horse power with out getting a turbo or nitrous system? The top end is on is good , but all more midrange punch would be great. So I can stay with them Bushes and ZX- 14's , I don't get with them until I'm at warp speed.

Hey M.M. I have a 2017 750 that has the same issue after 13000rpms. Its very noticeable in 5th & 6th gear. Outside of that I love the character of the bike. I got it flashed & tuned 9000 miles ago but I think I can get 185+mph if 5th & 6th gear are fine tuned. I haven't got it done yet because I don't want to change anything else about the bikes engine to throttle response. What do you think. Should I leave it alone or is it worth sending in? I considered buying another ecu to send in or even buying a power commander.

@@msgoines i have an akrapovic, a Yoshimura, and a chinese austin racing clone. i prefer the akrapovic. its the gp one. so to answer your question i do indeed have an exhaust. but i have the cat delete mid pipe on stock headers so its a mix match catless system with an ak slip on. thats what i was referring to. i am hoping to get a tune that allows me to remove the stock exhaust butterfly valve on a 2012 model. they still have the valve on current models.

I haven't watched all of your tuning videos but just a question: Are there often improvements to be had by altering the spark advance tables from stock? You always show the fuel curve and spend time dialing that in very well but I haven't heard you mention anything about spark timing. Just curious, thank you.
