As others already said most of the european magazines and/or exhaust manufacturers measured about 138-141 hp at the wheel and mostly about ~155 hp at the clutch so something about this exhaust might be wrong.. You got 146 peak hp out of a 2016 Suzuki GSX-1000F with that same exhaust a year ago. The F model is pretty much the same as the naked version. That 2022 is lacking! Did you check the airbox and see what type of filter he was running. I had a K&N filter on my 2016 and it was holding the bike back with your flash. I popped a BMC race filter in and the bike feels like it's pulling much harder. That K&N for the GSXS has a weird design. 137 HP on a 1000 is actually embarrassing considering thats pretty close to 600 cc numbers on a Dyno and I'm pretty sure a 750 would make the same .if my 2000 plate GSX-R 600 which was carbed made 220hp and my GSX-R 1000 with just an exhaust made 168.9hp it just makes the naked version not worth the investment if I can just buy a 600 and get the same agility pretty close power and way cheaper and would make more power with just an exhaust and a air filter

1000 has a lot more torque though. Horsepower isn't everything, but i suspect that exhaust just isn't good for that bike. Cause on most dynos it makes more. Also, does this apply in reverse, i.e., if a bike is dynoed with the baffle in place, will it run lean if the baffle is later removed ? I have an SV thou which has an exhaust collector that's so pancake flat in appearance, that baffle in or out makes no difference to spark plug condition, although the bike definitely feels less 'fluffy' in town with the baffle removed. I wish it had been stone stock, those numbers are quite low baseline. Looking forward to seeing the GT tune and results. Suzuki did change the cams to help the midrange along with quite a few other new engine parts. From Rider Magazine: New camshaft profiles, valve springs, throttle bodies, and airbox, and a revised 4-2-1 exhaust contribute to a 2-hp bump in peak power, a broader, smoother torque curve, and Euro 5 emissions compliance. @@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS I'd bet money that a 750 with tune and decent exhaust would stomp this bike. Suzuki has done something terrible here.
@ronr66052 жыл бұрын
@@IndyMotoRider can't agree blaming Suzuki, the standard exhaust is ugly but just good. The owner did something terrible here putting that useless stubby beauty on that nerfs the bike. I'd assume it doesn't make 'nuff negative pressure to suck the gasses out of the engine and fill fresh air in. Suzuki knows how to do that since the 60ies. (I'm not a Suzuki owner)

@@ronr6605 true. Probably more accurate to blame Euro5, and that shitty exhaust.

I guess it still pays of to convert a gsxr to a streetfighter. At least you get the hp that would make the helmet emerge with the face. 130 ish hp was what we got from the first streetfighters 20 years ago.

This bike makes 138.9 hp with STOCK EXHAUST on the Dyno…. Somethings wrong with this exhaust system I was going to buy it for my Katana but now I’m not. Maybe it’s leaking.. I saw some reviews showing that the ends of the flanges are too long for the manifold and stick out too far causing leaking.
@johnDukemaster2 жыл бұрын
That exhaust looks like that brazilian one. Not sure how good they actually are. Could be interesting to see a comparison between stock exhaust and this. Do that please! They say this bike has 150 on the crank.

As far as I can see the 2022 and 2024 are the same bike. I just bought a 2024 and want an ecu tune after I buy a full exhaust. Can you tune a 2024 GSXS 2024?

How is it possible that Suzuki GSX S 1000 2022 Stage 1 or 2 is 163-165 hp, with a 178 hp GSXR 1000 K5 engine that with Stage 1 reaches 186 hp, and Suzuki GSX S 1000 2016 143 hp reaches Stage 1 170 hp and Stage 2 up to 184hp?

Could you have tried a free flowing silencer on it just to get data even if it didn't fit properly on the bike. It's only got to seal up not look pretty on the Dyno.

How does the gearing of the bike affect the Dyno results? I know your comparing stock to tune on same gears but what if I drop 2 on front , how would that affect the dyno readings ?? Thank you for what you do Chris

With the Euro5 these bikes are built for it would make sense that they detuned the cams.. would be interesting to see if you can claw back that hp with a cam swap. I had hoped to score a GT this year but finances went to hell.. hopefully someone more fortunate will hook you up so when things come back around you've got a tune ready for me 🤣

Why can’t Suzuki put the New Gxs- 1000 GT dash on it? that analog screen is terrible. That’s the one thing that’s stopping me from considering this motorcycle.

Crying shame. I was shopping and looking at these but not now. Think I'll find me a few years older gsxr1k and convert it to streetfighter. 133hp at the wheel is a joke for a modern 1k. When an 01 gsxr 750 makes 141hp at the crank, weighs 360 lbs dry, makes these numbers very low. So glad to see honest shops at work too.

Yo bro between the crank and the wheel there is a différence of 20hp at wheel u will have about 20 HP less
@jasonmoran82222 жыл бұрын
Right and yet the mt10 puts down 156hp 82ft. Again, it's a crying shame. You can get an 08 gsxr1k for 7k or less. Exhaust, filter, quickshifter, dyno tune for another 3k tops. Push 180hp to the wheel. Still well under 15k msrp for 2022 gsx-s. Pretty cheap to convert to streetfighter from there.

i have a 2018 gsxs1000. CA bike which means max detuned. I added a dynojet commander, heath F1 light eliminator, cut out my catalytic and placed a straight pipe along with an MP4 muffler, which is ice and loud, but saves my life when splitting cars . The bike still has a flat spot at low end which is dangerous when out street racing. they cannot legally performance dyno out in this state, so I need to take it to AZ to have it dyno and mapped to get rid of that low end. any suggestions? i noticed your dyno machine is from dyno-jet! I should have bought a cbr 1000 rr or gsxr 1000.
