That is not true...you will never understand the Belizean spirit. People are not starving, they have food to eat. There is more to Belize than what you see. People have to build their own homes. .how many of you can do that? And yes, people know life is hard but saying they don't realise how poor they are is an insult. My thought when the lady in red said they have internet, I sure hope it doesn't change the culture of these beautiful people, I grew up in Cajun country in Louisiana in the 80's and 90's everyone west of the Mississippi River had a thick accent and spoke French. Fast forward 20 years & all of the young people sound like they're from California. Hold your culture close Belize you're amazing!
