Im a white man who married a black Canadian born Guyanese woman. I've been to Guyana 2 times and am going again this year. The people of Guyana are humble and kind and very hospitable people. The nicest people are in the poorest neighborhoods. Yes, you have the dunst heads, but you have them everywhere. If you're looking for trouble, it will find you. If you're minding your own business, you'll be safe. That was my experience in Guyana 🇬🇾. Dont go there all big up with your bling.

I’m American, but from a very desolate part of the Lower 48. I know how much it means when people from “big places” spend time with the kids. I soaked up any opportunity to meet big city people or people from abroad. And when those people were nice, even asked us questions or explanations, it meant the world - literally it felt like the world knew us & it still feels awesome at 55. Im near Yellowstone Park, I know everyone knows that place, but I’m to the east, on the scrub prairie badlands. (You live IN the mountains, IN the desert, IN the Midwest, but ON the prairie or the coast lol.) Few people, even Americans, ever see my home, I know it feels so good to be witnessed & have an outsider take notice. Still makes me teary years later… without being completely jokey/sarcastic, “big up” the local kids in a fun but respectful way if you visit places off the beaten path. Whether we stay or go, you don’t know how much the confidence helps later. Knowing that everyone thinks you are lesser really makes an impact (lol yeah I’m white how could you tell, I know this is not a new issue or just the rural, just saying we know what urbanites think & yeah it does hurt. We’re not all right wing nut jobs.)

After watching the entire video, I was impressed with what I saw in Buxton and the reception you received. I myself, despite being born and raised in Guyana, have never ventured into that village. One thing is certain though, ChrisMustList's reputation as a Brave-Heart and friend of the underprivileged precedes him wherever he goes. Excellent Job Chris. Keep doing what you do. I've been following you all over the world from Africa, to the Hoods of the USA, and the Caribbean.
@jessedylan616213 сағат бұрын
Wonderful and real , authentic content by Chris, circulating into the back streets of wherever he goes. Keeping it real, all the time. In this video, i was surprised by the gentle demeanor of everyone , myself expecting rough 'hoods and disrespectful gangs..it was quite the opposite. Keep up your labor of love. Shout out from NYC USA.

As a Guyanese i interpret the term dunce tugs as people who are uneducated and commit crimes.And while Buxton have some element of badness they also have some of the most educated and honest, church going people.
