It was rather comical to watch him repeat the same attempts over and over, especially after telling us the puzzle designer had a penchant for diagonal solutions. He realized the solution 2 minutes in, just like the rest of us, he just needed to film more for the content. The fake "Yes! Yes!" at the end as he pretended to suddenly figure it out JUST IN TIME to beat the clock was cringe. Like, tell us the puzzle is easy without telling us the puzzle is easy. Great puzzler, terrible actor LOL

Figured it must go diagonally probably 5-10 minutes into your timer but couldn’t figure out exactly how just from sight. So interesting to see just how many other close options there are. This guys brain is incredible, being able to have just one solution in his puzzles!!!

before I clicked on the video, I knew it had to sit at an angle in a symmetric pattern. About 5 mins in, I noticed that white had the diagonal edge and knew they were going to press up against each other. Nice puzzle guys. I may have to buy this one.

from the get go I was internally screaming "TRY THE DIAGONAL" then I thought you got it when you said "he's done some weird solves with diagonals" and then proceeded to completely ignore your own advice. you're right. it's frustrating. it's also frustrating watching you ignore your own advice and repeat the same steps over and over again. congrats on the solve though and happy new year :)

I think this is one of the first puzzles where you were about 4 min in that I was straight up doing the silent rage (you know, head bob and large arm movements)...to say to put the two white ones angle to angle. lol. Fun puzzle. Always enjoy your vids.

His puzzles are always clever and look beautiful by the end. A lot of puzzles feel the need to be super elaborate and flashy, but it's much harder to create elegant solutions out of something so simple.

I love these mind games. My first introduction to them was the "Old Shackles/Polish Handcuffs" with 2 horseshoes, chain links welded to the ends and a ring that was taken off. I was about 12 at the time when dad brought them home. Dad is gone now but I have that puzzle yet as well as 75-100 more of all types. Some days i just have to set down and play with them to sharpen my focus.

12:25 I thought quite early about that kind of solution with the white parts arranged diagonally meeting at that edge, then the blues outside. It was less because of some reasoning why this should make a good fit, but more because it looks so aestetically pleasing and has a nice symmetry. Seeing the solution it is even nicer, like e.g. two corners of each blue part nicely aligning at the left and right edge. It's not just a puzzle, it's a piece of art.

I've been like "the tip is a perfect triangle meaning you can arrange them in a circular patterns for almost the whole video. It's hard to watch him do the same thing over and over and over and over again.

It took me around same amount of time to solve it. I didn't time myself because I thought it would take me ages 😄I also noticed the pointy endings, but put them together across the wrong diagonal until I figured out that it probably goes the other way around. Great solve Chris!
