I know a guy who does card springs and really flashy cuts and shuffles in public - restaurants, coffee shops, park benches, malls, etc.; and when someone asks him about it, (“Are you a magician?”, “How did you learn that?” “Do you work in a casino?”, etc.), he is REALLY nasty to them for not minding their own business and for bothering him. He’s looking for attention - clearly telegraphing that desire - and then he unleashes hatred on the people who give him exactly what he was searching for - most of them genuinely curious and very kind. I feel your comment at the end of this video was needed for him and others like him. By the way, that guy is NOT a friend of mine. This was the first of your videos I’ve ever seen. Loved the good instruction, (I’m a hobbyist/amateur magician who gets a few paying gigs a year), and the humor. Subscribed right away. Heading to check out more of your videos now!

To be fair Chris, you were that Canadian guy who did neat puzzles for a while for me too... I didn't really start paying attention to your magic videos until I heard Brian Brushwood talk about how good you were and that's when I went back and started watching all of your videos and then subscribed and got notifications. I mean, I guess I always knew you were into street magic and were a good magician but your puzzle vids were just fascinating to me. Now, your approach to magic is one I very much enjoy and look forward to as well.

Etymology. The phrase al fresco is borrowed from Italian for "in the cool [air]", although it is not in current use in that language to refer to dining outside. Instead, Italians use the phrases fuori ("outside", "outdoor") or all'aperto ("in the open [air]").
