His training began at age 5 and ended last year at age 25. He is both operatically and pop trained. He calls his fans, his "Dears". His mother is an opera (soprano) singer and his father is a pop singer. He is the first born son to his parents and in Kazak culture, that means you are raised by your paternal grandparents until age 10. He calls his grandparents mama and papa because he die not know until age ten that they were his grandparents. He thought his parents were his aunt and uncle. They all lived in the same house together. The great maestro, Igor Krutoy heard him perform two or three years ago and has taken him under his wing allowing Dimash to sing his songs and participating in writing songs with Lara Fabian for Dimash. I also read somewhere, he would like to complete his doctoral studies in music.

He is famous with 6 octaves man. His range from C1/D1 to D8. He sing this song from B2 and the highest note is E6. But the range doesn't matter. He filled every song with every different emotion. Next song usually sinful passion, but maybe u want to listen screaming, or the show must go on, 👍

SOS is considered one of the five most difficult songs in French. He has masters degrees in both classical and contemporary voice, and just got his masters (perfect score) in composition, and was invited to do his doctorate (which he accepted.) At some point he was offered a position in an opera company, which he refused to focus on his chosen career in classical crossover. Thanks for your reaction - I really enjoyed it! It's always a treat to watch someone experience Dimash for the first time. You have many Dimash "firsts" ahead of you, his range is impressive. (I didn't mean his vocal range, which of course is ALSO impressive, but his techniques and the range of expression he chooses for each piece. A true artist.)

The people you see in close-ups are some of the other contestants in the 2017 version of the annual contest, "The Singer". They are all experienced and well-known Chinese singers and performers. Dimash was not only the youngest of the performers, but he was also the only non-Chinese. They had not seen Dimash in his rehearsals so their reactions are those of any first-time listeners. Dimash is a phenomenon from Kazakhstan, he started singing lessons and 5 when it was found he has perfect pitch. He is university educated with degrees in classical opera, another in contemporary music, pop and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has just (18th June 2020) completed his Masters specialising in Composition, and receiving his Masters degree with Honours, having achieved the maximum score of 100% and has just started his PhD. His range is over 6 octaves (7 now) but Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn but again he is doing well with it. In this performance he was 22 and in a competition for famous professional singers in China he was invited as a wildcard and after this one song was catapulted to stardom and is now a pop superstar in China. He is now also famous in Russia mainly for his neo classical work with Igor Krutoy and many of those works are very operatic. His vocals range from a rich bass baritone through to an extremely high soprano and his whistle register has hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato. He is on a solo world tour tight now and in his concerts he sings for around 3 hours with an eclectic mix of styles. He is from a very musical family both parents and his sister sing, mother is a soprano. Dimash was offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far, but I suspect world domination will soon come his way. He is a multi instrumentalist too and is very competent with 8 instruments but can play just about anything. He is 26 now, and is mostly known as a live performer, he has released a triple platinum album in China though. It has been recognised that his high notes are not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does its spectacular like everything else about him. He has billions of fans worldwide and I am definitely one of them, and he calls us his Dears, as we are all as dear to him as his family, and he means it, he knows who helped to make him famous. He is a softly spoken, polite, elegant and very humble respectful young man. He deserves every bit of the success he is having, he has worked very hard for the past 20 plus years and now his dreams as a young 5 year old are coming true. There is an interview he did for BBC World Service in 2018 where the interviewer showed a drawing he did when he was 5 of him singing on a big stage with microphones, speakers and his beloved music cassettes showing his desire to be where he is now. His recent sellout world tour has been postponed due to the covid-19 epidemic but will restart when its safe to do so. He has concerts lined up in Dusseldorf, Prague and Minsk there will be others. After this competition China CMA director Mr Fu Lin's gave Review that in China nobody had his technique vocal range and his transition and he had very clear voice angelic too, after this song he became a star overnight. The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to write the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add to the universal declaration of human rights another article (they would become 31) whose wording would be as follows " All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing ". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, whom I could talk to the young people I work with, as a good reference. The guys you didn’t know who they are, are the other contestants of this competition. It was the first episode of the I‘m singer season in 2017 and he performed first. @@m.bk.3928 Thx..didn't know that. Quite different from that genre of shows most everywhere else, apparently. X factor usually has one or two paid 'ringers' from what I understand, to make sure there is something worth watching, but that seems to be about it. Sing Off seemed to be the most genuine one I ever saw, promoting the likes of Pentatonix and Home Free, two very good a Capella groups, and I saw some decent talent on the Voice, but many are just completely staged scripted junk. If you haven't heard Home Free, give them a listen. Superb voices, blend, and arrangements, and one of the best (musical) beat boxers I have ever heard. Early (when Avi was bass) Pentatonix was very good, too, still are, but not like then.

Fluffys Mum - thank you so much for the information regarding Dimash. I have been following this brilliant young man’s journey for the past 3 years. At 76 I have never joined a fan club until now and feel very fortunate and privileged to be alive to witness this once in a lifetime talent. Apart from his musical ability he is the most humble, truly patriotic and decent human being imaginable. I’m sure this will never change having watched videos of Dimash able to move freely through airports in China, to being followed by Dears as his fame spread following Singer 2017.
