Maggie, you HAVE to react to Dimash again because... 1) You think you've heard all of his vocal range, but you haven't. 2) You've think you've heard of all the timbres and techniques he has in his toolbox, but you haven't even scratched the surface. 3) You think you've heard how powerful his voice can be, but you truly haven't. I know you don't believe me, so... just react to his "Sinful Passion" or "Ogni Pietra" and prepare to be even more freaked out than you already are. Oh, one more thing: Diva Dance", I know you know it... he sings it. 'Nuf said.

Dimash has 6.5 octaves (F1-D8), he won the best opera singer award from Aida Karifullina. He sings as he wants. Easily copes with coloratura soprano, staccato perfect. He has songs much more complicated than "Sos". He is constantly working on himself and is becoming stronger.

🤩 You mentioned Lara Fabian... Dimash is a big fan of hers and has covers of several songs she has sung. Mademoiselle Hyde, Adagio and Ascolta la voce among others. Actually, he got to sing with Lara (and Aida Garifullina) last year in a performance of Ti Amo Cosi. It is awsome. @@maggiereneemusic They are good friends. The story I heard - I can't verify it - is that after Dimash covered 'Adagio' in 2017 at the Chinese TV show 'I Am a Singer,' Lara contacted him to praise him. That led to a working relationship. Both singers have worked with composer Igor Krutoy. 'Te Amo Cosi' united Krutoy, Aida Garifullina, Dimash and Lara in one song. I've also heard that Lara supplied the lyrics to Krutoy's composition 'Your Love,' sung by Dimash. Dimash's 'Adagio' is different, but there are cues he took from Lara's interpretation you will detect.

Oh boy, here we go... you've stumbled into the Ocean of Dimash. You're about to be absolutely overwhelmed by the insane number of Dimash fan clubs on your channel. There is no singer in the world like Dimash. Every time you watch one of his performances, you're going to think "wow, that HAS to be his peak" and you'll be wrong every time. Dimash has flabbergasted vocal specialists, coaches, singers, songwriters and even doctors trying to explain his vocal abilities. Just go into Dimash's performances with open eyes and understand that he is potentially superhuman (people call him an alien), and trying to compare him to anyone else is an exercise in futility.

In my criteria within what I have already studied in vocal physiology and in my knowledge of Bel Canto, I say that your comment is extremely exaggerated and unnecessary in relation to the opinion of renowned singing professionals (perhaps because you are really a fan of the singer and even I can understand all this emotion) but there is no really serious and professional singing specialist who is trying to explain Dimash's vocal skills as something very innovative or extremely new in his voice, because just like Dimash, many other very talented and competent singers that I have already witnessed and analyzed throughout my life, they also performed these techniques long before him and there is nothing very new here, Vitas himself is the best example of this and as well as some excellent lyrical countertenors from past decades that I have already I studied and who also masterfully performed their head voice and sang in soprano voice regions but these did not sing all this spectrum with the same constancy as Dimash; the difference here is that Dimash has always had a very good musical sense since he was a child, having a good command of many instruments over the years and in addition to the natural talent that he managed to adjust as the years passed and thus be able to simultaneously explore all his records in same melodic line and manipulate its intonation due to his great range developed over the years but everything he has developed with extreme competence today was only possible thanks to extremely robust vocal training and guidance over many years with excellent singing professionals modern uniform, for him to reach this high level of good execution of these techniques intelligently and with a great degree of consistency, he is a perfectionist and has worked and developed these skill sets with a lot of effort and determination but I reiterate here again, in my view as other opera singing professionals have already stated, there is nothing too new and there are very well trained singers within their reach these days, who can really emulate Dimash's performances without much difficulty but the difference is that in my view he has a degree of agility, control and very good tonal power and many perhaps will not be able to reach his level mainly in the countertenor/soprano region in his head voice, where he really dominates and the best in that segment today.

In all my 64 years of listening to music, I have never seen or heard someone of Dimash's magnitude - he has it all !!! Dimash is beyond categorization ! He defies voice classification. You have Pop, Jazz, Classical, Opera and then you have Dimash !! This performance was from 2017 - believe it or not - he's even better now !! If you continue with Dimash - enjoy your journey. That was a great analysis of the performance that started Dimash's fame. It is always a pleasure watching professionals comment to Dimash's performances and we all are excited to see more of you as you encounter his world of music. Traditionally, the second performance for Dimash beginners is Sinful Passion, where he pulls off even more amazing stuff. I would say that SOS is just 70 % of Sinful Passion. Dimash was 22 when he sung this performance of SOS back in 2017. Since then his voice has matured even more, eliminating that weaker notes at the lower end of his range, which has become substantial and consistent now. You can hear it already in Sinful Passion and in another version of SOS from Slavic Bazaar, both recorded in 2018. And in his more recent performances it has become even better. He is really setting new standards of singing.

And I'm sure you'll get lots of suggestions from other 'Dears" (which is what he calls his fans, because he sincerely loves us so much.) He is so kind, so sweet-natured, so intelligent, and works so hard (training every day for 3 hours, since he started Music Academy at age 5.) He's 26, and stands 6'3" tall. He was born with perfect pitch, according to a schoolmaster in music school, who knew the family from years previously. He also had a natural passion for singing, which he tried to do even as an infant. I believe you'll enjoy your time as a reactor to his performances, and I greatly look forward to your next video.

Besides being born with lavish gifts, he has trained and trained and trained.....not because someone insisted on it, but because he utterly loves it. Singing is his favorite thing to do, and he LOVES to perform well for his fans. You can see, if you let a video go to the end, that after he completes a performance the happiness in his face is so complete. Oh, by the way, one song that might not be mentioned by someone else is "Kazakhstan Song." When you look it up on KZbin, look for one where the picture on the thumbnail shows him in a short, black schoolboy jacket with long, embroidered white cuffs and collar. In that song, his happiness is so great at times, he just puts his arms out and smiles, and smles. He loves anything that promotes his beloved Kazakhstan.

Dimash is called 'the best voice in the world' or sometimes 'the best singer in the world'. there is absolutely no exaggeration. people without knowledge of music like me or many others, always get stunted by his singing/performances every time. people with good knowledge of music or music background even appreciate Dimash more than the general pubic because they know music more than the general public. you, as a trained opera singer, will definitely appreciate Dimash. there is not a SINGLE performance that will disappoint you. in contrast they are just perfect. you have to listen to and watch his performances on KZbin to find it out yourself. you will simply be stunted and amazed. the old saying 'seeing is believing', but in Dimash's case, listening to and watching are believing.

He has two degrees, one in classical music, one in contemporary and is now doing and about to finish his masters in composing. So he is definitely classically trained and it shows but also why he so easily switches between styles (his mother is an opera singer, father pop so you can say he got a perfect mix 😂). If you want more classical he and Aida Garifullina sang Ulisse together (she is so divine, I have no words). It is incredible. Also Ogni Pietra, awesome to hear for a classical one. Passione is more musical theatre but still great. His latest version of Know, on his channel from Kiev is a pure vocalise, since you mentioned Lara Fabian, that is her song and he is so brilliant there. Thank you so much, awesome reaction!

Hi Maggie, so now you can say that you finally met an ALIEN think that Dimash's range is F#1-D8 and he got a massive tecnique but with SOS you just scatched the surface and as you are an opera singer you should react to "Ogni Pietra" and then "Ulisse" a duet he made with Aida Garifullina and then react to "Sinfull Passion"( one of my favourite ) and then a 100 more and believe me he is gonna surprise you with each of his songs, welcome into Dimash's universe. Stay safe

Nice reaction to Dimash singing SOS at the Singer 2017 in China. Great performance by Dimash. Since you are relative new her seeing Dimash here is a list I like you to react to. He did perform : 1 SOS; 2 Opera 2; 3 The Show Must Go On; 4 Autumn Strong/Late Autumn; 5 Uptown Funk; 6 Adagio; 7 Daididau; 8 Daybreak; 9 All By Myself; 10 Unforgettable Day; 11 Give Me Love; 12 Confessa+Diva Dance; 13 -; 14 A Tribute to MJ. Each song is different. Try Opera 2. You will be blown away. Looking forward to your next reaction. Greetings from Amsterdam.

Brilliant reaction. You let the singer's voice dominate. Your voice came in underneath just enough to hear you clearly, and choosing to close caption your own reaction worked beuatifully on the rare occasion when I wasn't sure of a particualr verbal response. You're obviously an extremely confident singer in your own right, and I appreciated your generosity in acknowledging Dimash as a master of his craft. Would NOT have been bothered had you stopped to make comments once or twice. Not only do I have a feeling you could have given some extraordinary insights, I'd have felt safer, for you, inasmuch as it's pretty easy to earn strikes on You Tube, etc. Only 'criticism... one of my favorite parts of this -ond only this performance, sadly - came at the very end when Dimash punctuated his perfomance with a quick crescendo/decrescendo flourish. I've listened to other performances by him of this song, only his 'The Singer' performance offers this nifty little piece of ear candy. Please consider listening to his Ogni Pietra performance to get a solid taste of his lower register (though he flips into soprano there, as well, toward the end.)

You've just scratched the surface with Dimash, Maggie. He will surprise you, over and over. His birthday was in May; he turned 26. He spoke to fans. One of the things fans learned is that he's only had access to his full baritone range for two years. It didn't take him long to make use of it. Try 'Love Is Like a Dream.' You'll be stunned. I surely was. For more operatic content, I'll suggest 'Ogni Pietra,' 'Te Amo Cosi' and 'Ulisse.' For blowing your mind, it has to be 'Sinful Passion.' For a big, enormous, giant, ambitious stage presentation of incredible beauty, you can't go wrong with 'Passione.' If you'd like to see something a bit unusual - a note pitched so high, Maria Carey would surely laugh hysterically - try the Gakku performance of 'Unforgettable Day.' There's so much more, most of it inconceivably satisfying. If you'll take the Dimash journey, I'll be with you every step of the way. I don't seem to tire of any of his songs. His fans - Dimash calls us 'dears' - regard him as a once-in-a-century singer. We'll be glad for your company.
