I found a partially-disassembled Rolleicord Va on a local on-line auction site and just couldn't resist the challenge, continued.

This is fascinating to watch. I've got a "Baby" Rolleiflex that works well at all shutter speeds except B, where it's reluctant to close. It's only a minor problem though, compared with the difficulty of getting 127 film for it.

Hi John As far as I know, there's at least one manufacturer (Kentmere maybe?) which still makes 127 film. Usually sold under either the Rollei brand or the Rera brand. Quite a few stores have them in stock (e.g. www.fotoimpex.com/films/medium-format-films-127-4x4/).

@@pierre-yvesp3769 Thanks for that. I used to buy it from the once large photographic chain Jessops in the UK. There are 127 films listed by Analogue Wonderland, also in the UK but shipping worldwide, but they have been very low on stock this summer. I just checked and it's in stock again now.

What did you use to clean the blades? Rubbing alcohol?

Naphtha, cigarette lighter fuel.
