Yes, that's a combo of cutwork for the lace doily part and machine embroidery for the flowers. She's very talented, as are you with you "copy" from dies and paper. Very clever!

The stitching video was fascinating! I learned to sew on a treadle machine as a teenager. I have one now that I inherited from my mother-in-law. It was her mother's. Watching this video makes me eager to sew on one again! But I cannot imagine doing the intricate work which she was doing! Thank you for sharing that clip!

Love your inspirational card. I'm so sorry about your health mishap. I hope all goes well with you. It was amazing to see someone actually doing that type of embroidery. I have a pair of pillow cases that my grandmother made on her Singer treadle sewing machine. She never got around to showing me how it was done. I knew about the hoop but couldn't work out how the cutwork was done. Thank you so much. Keep drinking those fluids. I tend to drink a lot of coconut water mainly Vitacoco. Take care.

Chris, thank you for sharing from your trip! Part of my childhood was spent in Transylvania where I learned a lot about embroidery (among other “good girl” crafts and skills). I learned how to machine embroider just like the lady in the video was demonstrating, it is simply art…. I haven’t done it in 30 years because it is very difficult to do it on an electric machine that is not an embroidery machine, but I remember making ladies’ embroidered handkerchiefs. Thank you so much for bringing back those beautiful memories through your video! 💞 The beautiful card you made really inspired me to try and go through stash and see what I can come up with: it is gorgeous 😍😍😍

Hello Christine, what a brilliant idea for a card. It seems, the papermill shop, my favourite for a long time, that closed years ago is now open again called papermill direct shop. Good to know! I loved the boxes of mixed paper, because it was a much better value than in Germany. I remember the first boxes I bought - as much as you could get in and for only 7£ (A4 small). So I have to look for the shops. Thanks for this wonderful information!
