Thanks for this. I had 4 piece Fatalis armor from plundering alone, but needed kills/eyes (I tried the Frostcraft GS way, but totally not my style, couldn't get that to work). Your way helped me get the kill on both the Special mission and Event quest (3 man after the 4th disconnected, whew!)

INCREDIBLE! THANK YOU! Me: CB main in World exclusively through endgame Iceborne....until I found Bata & a new appreciation for gunners (and all their OP/cheesy builds). On his recommendation I'm stopping by to subscribe & learn from a top tier SA player! When Fatalis Arrived: 3 days of non-stop cart fests, I was ready to learn anything to beat this fight for the first time (personally I never fight any in a group until I beat it solo). Tried multiple builds & build combos but DPS was always lacking. Sleep bombing & sticky spam was somewhat effective but it took too much time to reliability advance the fight to the final 5% HP. After watching this video it's clear what I must do now. I must return to my roots & learn to use the technical weapon I immediately dropped for CB because of its short hops/limited mobility while equipped. Its time for the true DPS machine...the SWAG Ax! God help me... Well, even if I don't beat Fatalis today I WILL at least become proficient at basic Switch Ax attack combos & capable of using the ancient art of ZSD Spam! GG thanks for uploading this run, it's both impressive and incredibly helpful for players seeking a solution to their Fatalis "problem" haha 😄

With 3,000 hours logged and the Platinum achievement for both World + Iceborne I'm FINALLY learning my 4th weapon 😄 Oh random question BTW, are you playing on PC with a controller or do you play on Xbox? Mainly wondering because I'm on a One X (with an SSD) and with the game set to prioritize the framerate I feel like I'm incapable of performing some of the combos you pull off: BUT that could just be me not being used to the input delay between the various attacks/animations. No matter where you're playing I hope you keep up the great work! P.s If you do play on Xbox & occasionally hunt in groups look me up; SquadK . If you're not on there or you prefer solo, that's fine too! I'm just always looking to add people who really know this game. It can be fun helping MR 25 players beat their first Alatreon or MR Kulve; but hunting with 3 other players who know what they're doing is always the most fun (MR/HR999 generally means you're in for a good time lol) Although... I will admit it can turn into chaos when one player thinks it would be funny to lure something like a Savage Jho into the fight without anyone noticing until it's too late 🤣 Sorry for the long comment, it's a bad habit of mine. But that's never going to happen especially after my time trying to help randoms beat Alatreon, half of them weren't even upgrading their armor or making item loadouts/gear sets! @@Secret_Takodachi @cee kay dont worry about the long comments dude, I appreciate the time and effort, unfortunately I'm PC only, the default controls are just displayed as Xbox on PC even if you use a PS4 controller (which I am). Learning and timing SA hops + getting used to the movement and knowing the skill priority actually takes a lot of practice so you'll be fine with more hunts I guess, you sound like you know what you're doing anyway haha

One question, why dont you always cancel ZSD? is it because you get in a more safe possition? or does the final explosion of ZSD do more damage when you dont cancel it? I dunno man Ive been always canceling it

You lose about 30% damage on the final explosion (not to mention the lost ticks) everytime you cancel zsd early, so it's better to take the risk that you get hit on landing or you lose too much damage overall. Of course if you know you'll get hit feel free to cancel early

if you want you can use the alatreon arms alpha + waist alpha for power prolonger 3 and attack boost 7 and use lunastra for the other 3 parts for tool specialist 5, you will be giving up divine blessing 5 though which i wouldnt recommend for comfort / ease of hunt

Power phial always. It gives 17% boost to raw and ZSD is heavily raw skewed in terms of damage especially the final explosion, for non-ZSD it will depend on the monster's hitzones

Congrats man! If you have health augment, you will always heal from that, it might be that you didn't notice it happening or it was interrupted by Fatalis's attack
